Guys all, i want to ask an old question again... If I OC my proc without adding any voltage(vcore) to the processor, MCH, NB/SB, then do i need to change the NB heatsink? Since the default hs not so good, so if i dun change it and OC, will it be safe to my mobo?

its better to change the NB heatsink. the zalman flower heatsink works fine. if you don't wanna change the heatsink, whether its safe or not it depends on how hot the NB gets.

Guys.. im using vista now with this board. Just wanna ask, when i open cpuz, it shows that im running on a X6 multiplier, but when i stress the cpu or open files, it goes up to x9 multiplier, may i know is there a setting in the bios where u can permanently run at x9 multiplier?

QUOTE(RokXIII @ Jun 9 2007, 05:36 PM) i able to find the 40mm fan, but i dunno how to mount it on the NB.... It's highly recommended to add a fan onto the NB. it's toasting hot even on default speed/volt. Jus press the fins together to create a clamp effect, and put a screw thru the fan hole and let the fins clamp onto it. simple.

Guys, do u think that possible Biostar will release a new bios to make this mobo to support 1333 FSB processor. I cant get any news about it.
Edited: Finally my mobo is back from RMA, but i found this mobo isn't a 965PT, is only 965 ("PT" is gone???), it is version 5.0, but i still not test this mobo yet.

I think it's 965 Express.

If new bios cant fix it ..try this: 1. right click on desktop 2. select screen saver tab 3. select the power button 4. For Power schemes ..try..Always on! Good Luck!
