New Biostar Supporter here.. help me out since i hit the wall on OC.. E6400 2 X 512MB Kingston KVR Hynix C4 PC4200 (533mhz can OC up 800mhz on 2.0V) 2 X Sata, 1 X IDE Rebel Haven Bios Mod : Ip96a921.rh2 At current i can only OC up to 340FSB .. can boot into windows but fail SuperPi 512 & 1MB. I dunno wether my PSU (480W) or my Ram is holding me back.. I will be happy if i can hit 400FSB!!! Please advise! This post has been edited by intune: Mar 27 2007, 12:20 PM

QUOTE(yehlai @ Mar 27 2007, 12:22 PM) Wht PSu u r using now? 480W is good enuf. If Acbel or Antec, Enermax then should be no prob. Try lower the RAM multipler so u can test out how much the max FSB ur proc able to reach. For E6400 i think stock vCore can hit 2.8Ghz easillly. try add some cooling fan. im using normal PSU.. running on stock vcore.. The other day i tried lowering the multiply but i just wont boot and i have to clear cmos. My casing is open.. is it because NB gettin too hot..? or other issues.. btw im using Hypertx as CPU cooler. QUOTE(yehlai @ Mar 27 2007, 12:29 PM) Wht PSU? better dont use iCute type for oc, might burn ur mobo. Wht vMGH u using? 2.8Ghz dont need too high, unless u got fan to cool down the NB. 965PT's NB overvoltage alot. 2.55v = 1.8+v yea chaplang PSu.. gonna get good PSU soon. Any recomendation? my budget is limited maybe can spend 200-300. Anyways i noticed.. Ip96a921.rh2 Bios no multiplier.?? which Bios is the best for 965PT now? Can my hynix C4 (bought from siuann) .. go 400FSB..? my VMGH is at default.. also i cant run TAT on my biostar p65T. This post has been edited by intune: Mar 27 2007, 02:56 PM

QUOTE(yehlai @ Mar 27 2007, 08:35 PM) 965PT dont support TAT actually. Get Silverstone 560W, RM 350 only. Yea considering Silverstone. Anyways managed to get to 2.8GHZ on (V)GMH 1.4. Definitely need better NB cooling.

QUOTE(yehlai @ Mar 28 2007, 11:36 AM) For me, 965PT's only weakness is the NB, becoz using cheapo HS and runs hot. Overvoltage a lot actually. Thts why it can clock fast but the downside is temp veryyyyyy.. HoT !! But for now the factor tht bottleneck u is PSU (or might be proc) not the mobo for sure.. becoz 2.8GHz is only mild oc applied AS5 on nb hsf and stuck vga cooler on it. VGMH at 1.45V when past 3GHZ . Passed superPi 512/1MB..no errors Didnt want to stay too long due to unreliable PSU..maybe when i get a better pSU will stress test for sure. Apparently all the stability issues gone due to increase of the Vgmh. This post has been edited by intune: Mar 28 2007, 12:05 PM

QUOTE(RokXIII @ Jun 11 2007, 04:41 PM) Well, in my bios, dun have C1E setting. Inside CPU features, there got only "CPU Thermal Control", "Virtualization Technology", "CPUID"..... I disabled all, but still can't fix the problem... Have the same problem recently. If new bios cant fix it ..try this: 1. right click on desktop 2. select screen saver tab 3. select the power button 4. For Power schemes ..try..Always on! Good Luck!

QUOTE(FLubber @ Aug 6 2007, 04:12 PM) polygon from Rebel Haven forums is ordering a unit of Q6600 to test it out. hopefully it would be a YES Yeah hopefully. I know for a fact that that the newer version with PCB 5.0 Tforce P965 supports the Quad. Not sure about the TForce 965PT. Mine is PCB ver1.0 Anyways i found this from Google. Btw if anyone can confirm this pls reply. Cheers! http://pc11.2ch.net/test/read.cgi/jisaku/1175931447/678-------------------------------------------------------------- Dear Sir, TForce965PT supports Core2Quad Q6600 CPU but don't support FSB1333MHZ CPU due to chipset limitation.
