haih....all i did was google for "bioshock offline activation" and i got answers...

and since everybody so friggin lazy to do something so simple like e-mailing the support to find out... i just sent an-email to support@securom.com and asked if its possible to activate the game offline.

now just wait for the answer OR refer below

2kgames support: http://www.2kgames.com/bioshock/support/general_3.htm

some other site: http://gamer.blorge.com/2007/08/22/bioshoc...all-limitation/
SHEESH! that wasnt so friggin hard...... doh.gif

Not that I don't want to google it my self... but as I have told before.. I don't have a completely normal and working internet connection that I can use in my college. The only working one (very abnormal connection) is a wifi connection AP455FD which is the only one available and even for posting this post here requires me to refresh my screen 6 times. And Google and Yahoo! is not accesible at all... dunno what happen but it won't display at all. Lucky me Lowyat can be access though.. quite a wonder.

Thanks for the spoon though.. appreciate it... laugh.gif

Because they likes to screw the legit customer over something that shouldnt be there in the first place. The email reply you got are really retarded. If you cant install without the internet, what is the farking point for offline activation ?

Thats why i got the *ahem* version. We dont pay for such kind of crap. You got it for free but too bad the installation proccess are such pain in the ass.
*
agree man...at least i got it free which is sort of a comfort tongue.gif.... if i were to buy the game id go ahem as well with all the crap with the installation/activation.

the email was friggin stupid....i found out about the patch thing from ianho who recently just installed it. they didnt even bother taking the little extra effort to type in 1 or 2 more likes for a simple explanation... doh.gif

The person I referred to whom activated it offline was Ianho himself. Didn't felt the need to mention his name since the point I was trying to put out was not to support piracy. Last I checked, piracy talk is not encouraged here. We're gamers, so lets try to support the industry that is providing the games.

Also, thanks to Madman for clarifying that the Internet connection was required for installation. My apologies for not mentioning that earlier. The internet connection is required because it's used to download some patch for securom. Why? I don't really know - but it's required.

Peace.

lolz.... it's a great game. Been playing for 2 days but not much time for me to play so now still in 3rd chapter. AI is crazy, their techniques are very funny, like releasing steam then suddenly come out behind u or some switching off the light and gang bang me.... lolz...

Anyway, my laptop gc driver can't be updated since there r no other suitable driver for it. FYI, my 8600M GS play this game at med setting 1024 x768 smooth, high setting is actually not playable but the graphic is awesome...

Thinking of buying it on Monday. Do you think this PC is able to play?
AMD X2 3800+
1 Gig RAM
GeForce 7600GT
Main concern is not the processor itself but RAM and graphic card. Think there is going to be any problem?

How's the online activation anyways? Is it that bad? I heard a lot of people having issues with it.

I don't think the number of activation is not much of a problem but then the procedures. I read the instructions on support site...really confusing. Wonder why go to such a big fuss. tongue.gif

Ok la set. Monday go buy YAY rclxm9.gif

I dunno about you guys, but i love how the writers pitted objectivism againts altrusim.

on one hand you have the failure of the rapture that symbolizes the failure of a purely capitalistic society, on the other hand, fountain's shelter for the poor and his con just shows what a sham altruism is, meaning that good is always done for a reason other than good itself.

Ur ram shud be at least 2gb and ur graphic card shud b at least geforce 8 series (recommended 8600GTS or above). Since 8 series is not outdated yet so soon and it able to support dx10 for future enhancement. If u want to play this game in better graphic, 8 series is a must for vista dx10 biggrin.gif

p/s: laptop: Santa Rosa, C2D 1.8GHz (rated at 4.44GHz), 2GB RAM, 8600M GS 256MB GDDR3 is laggy in high quality mode, so u better get a higher spec pc... 7 series...nah... blush.gif
