Scary:

Just imagine, you meet a splicer (aka zombie in bioshock), and he spots you. He starts running at you at full speed, dragging his pipe weapon on the ground that causes it to spark, while screaming 'Don't run away, I just want to be your friend!!'

Please don't buy pirated. This game (like all other games) are made with blood and sweat. This is a game you want to buy to help support the developers (whom btw always had money problems becoz their well-made gems never did well somehow) because it is a VERY well made game and you will definitely enjoy it.

Get the game from Software Boutique (www.tsb.com.my) OR Gamer's Corner (1Utama) OR Sendi Mutiara (www.pcgame.com.my).

Agreed?

Not that some of us don't want to buy original.

For my case.. I have already decided to buy original version of this game until I heard about the needs of internet for activation purpose. I don't have an internet connection in my college. So how am I supposed to install it??? Spend RM50 for fuel and toll.. go back home and install it.. and spend another RM50 taking my computer back to college??? That's RM100. Highly unlikely I will do that... yawn.gif

Until there's a workaround for this... I won't be buying this game at all... and if there's still no way around it after so long... pirate is the only way for me. Unless you have another suggestion???

You can order it online... and you don't need credit card for online purchases. Both tsb and pcgame has bank in options. Delivery is free as well.

As for online activation, you can email them and they will provide you the manual activation key. This is proven possible.

If you email them, and they provide manual activation key, then it works.
"Proven possible" sounds oxymoronic.

lol, what I meant was that it has been proven that emailing them will let you activate the game manually. I'm trying to help those who don't have internet connection to activate the game, why break my ballz?

The person I referred to whom activated it offline was Ianho himself. Didn't felt the need to mention his name since the point I was trying to put out was not to support piracy. Last I checked, piracy talk is not encouraged here. We're gamers, so lets try to support the industry that is providing the games.

Also, thanks to Madman for clarifying that the Internet connection was required for installation. My apologies for not mentioning that earlier. The internet connection is required because it's used to download some patch for securom. Why? I don't really know - but it's required.

Peace.

thanks....ianho told me about ur situation actually tongue.gif

myself, 8800GTS 320mb SLI @ 1680*1050 (all high settings) @ DX10 hovering around 40 FPS for first level....

second level went up to around 50-60.

*
And you're running that on the E6850 @ 3.0ghz? Plus you're on SLI as well. My 20-30fps is after I oc'd the 3800+ to 2.5ghz. If it was stock, it would've been lower. I did try the game on a GTX which a friend brought over but I didn't take note of the fps although the general experience was much smoother. I'm guessing it's the extra RAM. Anyone with a 8800gts 640mb is willing to confirm this?

Also, did anyone else noticed that Bioshock is capped at 60fps? All in-game cutscenes are running at 60fps constant . So I'm assuming there's a cap there.

i hope my GTS8800 320MB can handle something more than Bioshock... CRYSIS

The 8800gts is beginning to suck. So far, the new games that come out is really killing my card. At 1680x1050 res, games like MOH:A, Bioshock, Company of Heroes and Lost Planet can really murder the gts in DX10 Vista. Either that, or nvidia has really bad drivers for Vista. This new era of DX10 gaming is turning into a nightmare.
