From what I heard, if your current credit limit already VS level (20k),u can get the card without hassle.
Perhaps you head to MBB VS thread and have a look

First level only. I called the other day and the CS can't share with me, just told me cannot appeal.
Today tried luck again, he did put me on hold for a while and checked with Ikhwan department and came back with the reason this time.
For the two times also called the Plat hotline.

Mine hasn't reached 20k yet but close to, maybe next time when I apply for CL increase, it will go to 20k. Then I will try my luck for VS. Thanks for the tips!

another reason of rejection may be due to other cc application you did recently around the same time when you applied for this ikhwan cc? did you any?

Well, I only applied CIMB after Ikhwan which hasn't been approved as well.

Recently I printed my CCRIS report and my credit card application in May last year still appear in the report.

latest updated from me, after 1 week application of this ikhwan card, today morning i saw the card appear in my cards in the m2u with a Active button..

hooray, finally some good news after being rejected by public bank last 2 weeks.

Thanks to maybank, i thought will be rejected as well, but you gave me a surprise answer. But the credit limit is just 5k...3 times below my m2u card...but nvm, better than nth..

The reason of success are:-
maybe I am loyal customer to maybank, got car, house loan, and this is 4th credit cards with maybank, and payment records always 00000 since 8 years ago.

or also might due to I just reduce from my ocbc tit credit limit from 25k to 8k...so I can get some credit here even thought my commitment really burst =X..

Nah, not willing to compromise for that when my CL is already so low.
Anyway, this is just my backup card, I don't want to sacrifice my M2Cards.

yea yea, i also used it as back up card only, to earn more cash back only as 50 cap for amex card really no enough..
My next strategy will be terminate my useless SCB card soon, to free up my credit limit and apply CIMB card which useful for online purchase. =X

you may reduce your cl from other unimportant cc. i suppose you have other cc right?

Is this true? Yea, my CL is that. Although my income is far from VS level. (And I doubt it will ever reach that ) But how do you tell MBB? Coz they always ask for latest income info

Yea they will still request for income docs..because they want to know your latest income..but if your salary credit to Maybank every month, then you might no need to submit income docs as they can check from there.. I called preapprove card number last mknth , and that is my experience..

Yea. I think when they check ctos, if you have too much credit card limit (include all banks cc), might affect ur approval also..
I just reduce my ocbc credit limit, this might be the reason they approved my application since my credit limit for all credit cards on hand is not as high as before

Ikhwan card holder, today i saw the transaction history of my card posted with the zing card fees 10.60. I thought the zing card is free?
It will auto be reverse or I need to call CS ?
