I think it was something to do with the CL reason. For the past few months I did apply for one local bank and one foreign bank's card, both also get decline... sad.gif  shocking.gif  shakehead.gif

Well, if it is due to CL, then it is really unfair to me. I wasn't given with any option. mad.gif

I suggest you to call again just to confirm.

Not dare to try unless I can get the confirmation from them...
Hard to maintain the high CL as per today... better keep it..

Though my CL is not high but I don't intend to touch my current CL for Ikhwan card, it is supposed to be my back up card.
Life goes on it seems for me, till we meet again next time if I still want it. laugh.gif
I don't like to be seen as if begging for the bank(s) to give me a card.

How to separate conventional CL & islamic CL without cutting some % from your existing conventional CL? If your current income only eligible for RM X CL and your existing conventional CL already assigned with RM X CL, your new islamic CL need to "eat" some % from your existing conventional CL so you will have two split conv & islamc CL at the end which total of RM X

hmm.gif But why they keep telling both conventional CL and Islamic CL are non-related and they will not affect each other. They are independent and standalone.

our total CL (islamic+conv) to the bank is one lump sum figure based on our proof of income. from this value, bank need to split to two different CL that will be independent and standalone

can, the new islamic cl will be treated the same like you apply for a new cc under another bank. means if your current income still available to have another cc, so it will not affect your existing conventional cl.

yes, if your current income still available room to have additional CL. if not, it must taken some portion of the current conv CL

They should explain clearly. Now my application is rejected just like that. sleep.gif
Though I don't know if this could be the reason.

I don't want already. So frustrated with them. mad.gif
Obviously they can't share with me the real reason but they listed the possible reasons:
1) Age limit (Not possible)
2) Salary requirement (Not possible, it is the same requirement as M2Cards Plat which I have already held)
3) Payment history (I always pay in full for all banks and never late for payment for Maybank or the most 1-2 days for other banks because sometimes I will forget to make Giro payment but never charged with late payment charges before)
4) Credit history (This is possible, due to BT in Aeon, this is the only I could think of) cry.gif
*
Also, don't think BT is a culprit.
Its all goes by case to case, very hard to know the real reason for the time.
I had my card approve(other bank) while having BT.

And I also been rejected for this card tongue.gif .
Maybe because of M2U.

You also got rejected eh? When was this happened?
What happened to your M2U? unsure.gif

So sad that I cannot add another cash back card in the near future. Oh well, if I'm not lazy enough then I'll try my luck again after 6 months.

Fruities, sad case to you.
Btw, i just apply this card last friday, call to pre-approve no, but the maybank sales girl still requested me to submit Payslip to her since my salary is not credit in Maybank. The sales girl even asked alot of information from me (name, address and etc) even though I had saving, current, car loan, house loan, m2card with maybank. I did ask why you cannot check on the system as my information should be in your maybank system, but she insisted want to ask again as she didnt have computer with her.

Recently I had 3 times experiences of being reject while applying for CC (Pb, HSBC, HL). I did asked the CS before, they told me the same thing, they don't know the real reason, just can tell me the possible reason same as you. For HL cc, my fren is the salesman, he help me to appeal and it approved after that.

But I think all of the rejection is due to High Commitment as when I apply car loan last year, the officer did told me your commitment is high, hence I submit Stock Market and FD statement, then they approved after that. I think they will consider all your outstanding credit (loan, bt, installement) and compare with your monthly salary. Credit card application approval process should be more or less same with Car/House Loan.

Let's see whether my Ikhwan CC application will be rejecte or not, if rejected, I will ask the sales girl to appeal for me, and I can submit more document such as Stock Market statement or FD Statement.

P/S: All of my payment history are good, I also never ever pay a single cent interest or late payment to any Bank Loan or CC. My CCRIS records all are 00000. Just that the outstanding credit is high doh.gif 0% BT is the culprit also which increase the outstanding credit rclxub.gif

Latest update, my card application got declined. doh.gif

That's totally unacceptable when I'm already holding M2cards since 2011. Now they said I can only apply after 6 months. doh.gif

Now I'm not sure if my CIMB credit card will be rejected as well. doh.gif
I have not owed a single cent to any bank and I don't know if my active BT affects all this credit history. cry.gif

I am thinking to apply CIMB cc also, but I wont apply online, I will just go to the garden CIMB 1 hr approval there to apply when I am free. This is because I can nego with the staff on the spot (which i think the chance of approval is higher)

Sigh. I also have car loan but the value is very low only. RM 580 per month, only around 10% of my salary. I have an active BT which is around RM 1100 per month and it's ending next month. Another thing is I cannot deny I have spent quite a lot on my M2Cards these recent few months but I still pay in full when the statement is due. sweat.gif Very bad for them to reject my application. Now I have a strong feeling that my CIMB application might be rejected as well. Let's see and I'm totally losing faith now. I guess I will start my hunting again after 6 months. laugh.gif

But I think when they process your application, and check with CCRIS, ur CCRIS will show to them your total outstanding amount , for eg M2Card outstanding balance is 15000, (11000 from bt,4000 from statement balance[which you haven't pay it since not reaching due date yet]).

Just my 2 cents.

Or another reason which I suspected before is they will check all of our credit cards limit, and will not approve if total credit limit is high? Bank negara not allowed us to own too many credit limit?
I am not sure..hehe, I just requested OCBC to reduce my credit limit from 25k to 8k. But I not dare to terminate my rarely use OCBC and SCB cards yet, as I scare if I couldn't apply new CC anymore, at least these 2 card still can serve as backup card.
