AmEx for the win.
It also has M2Cards Gold which is the same benefits as Plat, other differences are minimal and have no impact on cash rebate.

Latest update, my card application got declined.

That's totally unacceptable when I'm already holding M2cards since 2011. Now they said I can only apply after 6 months.

Now I'm not sure if my CIMB credit card will be rejected as well.
I have not owed a single cent to any bank and I don't know if my active BT affects all this credit history.

what?! perhaps divide your cl out the other day would be better to secure a ikhwan...

I don't want already. So frustrated with them.
Obviously they can't share with me the real reason but they listed the possible reasons:
1) Age limit (Not possible)
2) Salary requirement (Not possible, it is the same requirement as M2Cards Plat which I have already held)
3) Payment history (I always pay in full for all banks and never late for payment for Maybank or the most 1-2 days for other banks because sometimes I will forget to make Giro payment but never charged with late payment charges before)
4) Credit history (This is possible, due to BT in Aeon, this is the only I could think of)

I believe the active BT might be 1 of the factor which bank do not approve your credit card application.

For those who has both Maybank and Maybank Islamic credit cards.

Does the CL of Maybank credit card will be affected if you apply for Maybank Islamic credit card?

For example,

Currently with Maybank credit cards, total CL is RM20K. When applying for Maybank Islamic credit card and get approved. Will the Maybank CL will cut?

it's separate cl. you may opt to cut your existing m2cards cl to get an ikhwan though.

One more month of BT and I will not touch BT anymore.

According to the CS, it will not. Conventional and Islamic banking are different, so CL won't be combined for them.
However, there is a forummer here was requested to split CC.
Others got them in a separate CL.

I know it's separate...

But what am I facing now is...

CS told me that the CL from Maybank will be cut once the Maybank Islamic card is approve..

Earlier there was a forummer here also got requested to split CL from his existing M2Cards.

The CS who entertained me said that, if the Maybank Islamic CL is RM10K, then they will cut the CL RM10K from Maybank, put into Maybank Islamic...

My concern is... don't cut my Maybank CL.
Separate is ok...

I suggest you to call again and another agent will tell you different thing.

I'm so disappointed by my application, especially I was pretty confident with Maybank as I don't have any outstanding issues or payment with them. Sigh.
It's either 6 months later or never. Let's see when the time comes.

Meanwhile, I'll stop applying for new credit cards until my last BT payment with Aeon ends.

if your income can cover all your commitments (obviously you can), you may ask to have a separate cl for your ikhwan without affecting your existing m2cards cl. but if they found out you are not, then they will reject your ikhwan application. if you are worry and want to secure the ikhwan card, you may just agree to cut the cl from m2cards to your ikhwan, then later apply to increase your m2cards cl. lol...

I think the CS saying these to me might due to previously (about 4 years ago) when I cut my Maybank Islamic credit card, I did request them to add in the cut card's CL into my Maybank card. So now if I plan to apply Maybank Islamic credit card, they are going "take back" the CL from Maybank..

Are you sure they will straight reject you? They didn't even bother calling me ask me to split my CL. In addition, the earlier CS was so confident that it will not touch my current CL.
Again if they really call and ask me to split my CL, I will not agree as well.

In my opinion, my application was rejected not because of CL. So, I don't think so CL reason will lead to one's application rejection.

Now it makes sense, they just take back what they deserve for.

weird

my chronology=
1) owned ikhwan visa CL 5k
2) after almost 5 years, then got to know about M2C
3) submit application for M2C but the counter said need to submit my 3 months latest salary payslip to increase CL first while i went for lunch
4) came back after lunch, then they approved the CL till 15k
5) so the counter said i need to decide on splitting the CL amount between both cards
6) so decided 10k goes to m2c and 5k to current ikhwan visa
7) next month applied ikhwan master and using the epf statement only
8) approved, shared the same CL with my ikhwan visa
9) took the ikhwan master and close the ikhwan visa on the same day

I think it was something to do with the CL reason. For the past few months I did apply for one local bank and one foreign bank's card, both also get decline...
