QUOTE(unknown warrior @ Jan 28 2015, 08:17 PM)
Unless you're practising Judaism, I don't see where in the scripture it says the ingredient has to be "proper"
As you said it yourself, it's not just about costing matter (it will definitely cost a bomb for huge mega churches to use wine), what if a church is opened in some deep ULU place where there's no way you can get unleavened ingredient or wine? Then what you're going to do?

You see the point or not? Deadlock is right, If you agree it's symbolic, then it is symbolic. We cannot be fickle minded to say it's symbolic and yet insist on proper sacrament practises. No point to make an issue out of a non issue matter.

Because one thing will lead to another. We will have Church Clothing Dress Code issues, then we will have what type of lady's make up allowed, excessive or not,
It will turn into Religion which Jesus came to remove which IMO is going back to square one.

And Yes I understand what is the proper ingredient, it's just bread without yeast, in fact Tosai also qualify if want to use. Radio Channel tak rosak la bro.

Ya after thinking back, I shouldn't have press so hard on minor stuff. the meaning and purpose of taking communion more important. my apologies.

anyway, i still thinking it is out of my mind seeing orange juice to symbolized Jesus' blood biggrin.gif

Then you got Euro citizenship?

Hmm, reason you want to work in Malaysia is because you want to be in the 40-80 window where got abundant ministry to help the poor?

Dad is German. Mum is Chinese.

Of course.

40-80 window?

Oh because I want to be independent and choose Malaysia because I got so many relatives here.

I do go back during the summer, Oktoberfest, and Christmas.

You can speak German? Interesting...

I believe the reformation of all christians actually originated from Germany. Martin Luther himself was a German. He was the one who came up with Justification of faith doctrine - God's act of declaring a sinner righteous – by faith alone through God's grace.

I wonder if the Germans are still pious christians actively attending church.
*
Ja, ich spreche Deutsch, Englisch und Indonesien.

Thank God for Martin Luther.

Not all Germans. The Germans youth are the worst. I only became active Christian since last year October.

Sigh.

QUOTE(Deadlocks @ Jan 28 2015, 05:44 PM)
But Jesus did not use the unleavened bread and wine because it is a must. He uses it because He used them with the intention to symbolize His communion with His disciples. There was no other written account that it must be explicitly the aforementioned bread and wine must be used for such symbolization, because symbolization is what symbolization is, it does not have a meaning, except for the ones we give to it.

Take your example of the wine vs. the grape juice for example. Just simply because there is a cost factor, why would it be permissible to use grape juice instead of authentic wine? If the symbolization is indeed as you have said, mandatory and explicitly to unleavened bread and wine, then wouldn't the use of grape juice contradicts this? A simple explanation will be the one I have given, that is as long as the meaning is given to any objects as a form of symbolization, it will fit the symbolization.

Because that's what symbolization really means.

The Catholic Church and other ancient Eastern Churches do believe that it is more than just a symbol, the bread and wine is transformed into the Body and Blood of Christ.

But didn't Roman Catholics interpret the Lord's Supper message literally?

Jesus specifically stated that His words are “spirit.” Jesus was using physical concepts, eating and drinking, to teach spiritual truth. Just as consuming physical food and drink sustains our physical bodies, so are our spiritual lives saved and built up by spiritually receiving Him, by grace through faith. Eating Jesus’ flesh and drinking His blood are symbols of fully and completely receiving Him in our lives.

Anyway, it's great that you're serving. It shows that you're committed to the church and not just another attendee.

Peace out and good night.

Yeah, they did. The Catholic do represent one extreme in that they took a physical point of view and say that once the bread and the cup are blessed, the bread changes its nature, becoming the Lord’s flesh, and the vine product changes its substance, becoming the Lord’s blood.

But there is also the other end: Some look at this from an intellectual point of view and argue that the bread and the wine have not changed in substance; rather, they are merely representations. The bread represents the Lord’s body, and the vine product represents the Lord’s blood.

Oh i go for org asli ministry because i want to do

Philippians 4 - 8Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. 9 What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

Doing ministry is part of loving oneself as well as loving neighbor

How many orang Asli ? 1 people, 1 family ? it's different. Only GOD's know how many orang asli you need to touch in 1 day.

GOD's appreciate your willingness so you can do to org asli. But again, it has to match GOD's plan for orang asli as well right ?

Therefore relationship is important, not only knowledge.

Like i say, relationship brings power, not knowledge. In your case, power to help orang asli as may as GOD's want in 1 single day.

Its like 3 or 4 houses.

I dunno, I just trying out, I suppose its no harm trying even if my role doesn't match God's plan for org asli...I am sure the grace of God will find me a way to fit in or learn to be a better person out of it.

I kind of confuse, I not sure what u trying to say. Sorry...

thx for highlighting. don't be afraid. you have a good heart that's why JESUS leads you here, to meet me.

It is correct its no harm biggrin.gif. Now let me share GOD's heart with you.

There are not many people want to do ministry for org asli, therefore the resource is limited.

with limited resource, and so many untouchable orang asli, GOD has a plan for you to do things for orang asli, the way GOD see fit.

Why it has to be fit, because the resource is limited
Why it has to be fit, because miracle happens when you fit into GOD's plan, remember JESUS do miracle feeding 4000 people ?

i know you have a lot of question, but let me share to you the word today:
Fit into GOD's plan, miracle happen, then you will help more orang asli.

You see... JESUS is a good GOD. HE will help you do miracles for orang asli, but you just have to follow GOD's plan / GOD's way. You can do miracles.

feel free to ask more questions biggrin.gif

kron_ka.

I suggest that you stop talking to de1929. No one has been able to understand him so far, and he refuses to clarify and clear the overwhelming confusion other members here are having with him.

In conclusion, he could be a troll.

Err noted your suggestion, Deadlocks.

I am suffering some depression and anxiety problems. A lot of people here have come out to help me and show their christian kindness and compassion towards me.

If I were to treat de1929 like this, then I would feel quite guilty because Jesus have shown his compassion through his people to me, but I in turn show my ignorance to de1929.
*
I understand your point. But I was only hoping that you may choose to spend your time wisely, preferably not with de1929.
