Try to get a written reply stating its because of the improper/mishandling whilr installing thermal paste. Then use that try to nego with the shop that did it. Wonder if thats possible?

the mobo fried...waited so long no call no update from them so i call today..they say replacement mobo send by msi taiwan is DOA so have to wait longer again.!!! WTF knnccb stupid MSI service.. i would strongly suggest to stay away from this fuckup brand in the future ..potential buyer read this....STAY AWAY FROM MSI

bro hellfire, are you in touch with the service center alone or with MSI cust srv rep also?
because my laptop, sent in on 17th, out 31st already. change mobo, ge62 laptop.
they told me mobo shipped out on 25th, arrive 29, installed 30th, ready 31sy

i basically call the service center, MSI KL, MSI taiwan aka HQ etc.. u name it i have it.
Their explanation is the first replacement part they send in is faulty and they send another one. So all in all is more than 1 months plus and still no tangible solution. just call me today again and claim they receive part from taiwan dy and need more time to fix it.

BTW bro hellfire, what was the issue? your first replacement mobo was also faulty, and you had to wait for another one?

my laptop initially mobo fried. ..send in and the first replacement board come after 1 month..but this so call replacement board faulty...then they have to order another one....

anyway yesterday when starting dota..it crashed...now format reinstalling see if it helps...else i think the hardware they give me is problematic..

man i feel really bad for you. what error u getting when crashed?

err is windows 8...now i am installing it with windows 10

I really like their matrix display. no need to buy add on for 3-4 LED. Is there really no decent MSI laptop model worth buying? ( no mobo issue, no need send warranty) . I never have any issue with acer

Msi laptops in general are quite good and even better with their exclusive features (steelseries keyboard, nahimic & dynaudio, shift, etc..) compared to other gaming laptops. The only problem with most Msi laptops (in my opinion) is the overheating problem. I dunno why, but maybe due to the design flaw perhaps? But if u check on numerous reviews of msi gaming laptops, msi NB usually are praised for its good cooling performance... This is indeed the opposite of what most Msi users are experiencing here in our country. I bet the Msi laptop cooling system is not sufficient enough to work efficiently in tropical climate, hence the rampant overheating issue being reported. Plus, Msi aftersale service seems to be nearly the same boat like asus though judging from the reported cases here.

I dunno though... Our average ambient temp is increasing these days due to the el nino stuff. The way how I see it, it is always advisable for Msi users to do gaming in air-cond room to help reducing the overheating issue. Using laptop cooler also is a must. ( I personally use both cooler pad and exhaust type cooler)

Ive read before that their GT series have less problems. then again its flagship product at over RM10k

any idea how can i set intergrated graphic card memory in bios?? im using GE62. i cant find the option.
