Anyone knows if its a known bug or is it my laptop problem?

I just had my MSI die on me. Bought on 21 FEB 2016.

YES, THIS WONDERFUL PRODUCT LASTED ME LESS THAN 1 MONTH!!

I do not game on this laptop. I bought it solely for 3D rendering purpose, which I used 1 week ago.

So few days ago i got a few black screens (sudden flicker, then just BLACK. Force shut down by holding power button. then restart like normal.

Today, the LED turns blue indicating power on. HDD LED also flickers. but screen no response. 99% of other forums are pointing to faulty GPU or MOBO. and i read Hellfire's post about super slow service, just makes me want to fucking burn down msi now coz i have deadlines on MONDAY !!!!!

OMG.. So many problems with MSI product now...
*
Yea man... i was thinking before msi or illegear coz msi obviously with their marketing, i was fooled into thinking they would have quality control.

Soon as i get mine back from warranty am gonna sell it for something else

Bingo. Sent to service centre. Like hellfire said. Minimum 2 weeks. Mobo died.
Also fyi to other unfortunate msi users, figure out a way to backup your stuff. I came here and they told me they cant backup before reformat. I ask how can i backup if i turn it on?? Basically my entire hdd stuff is gone.
Bought for 26 days, used about 20 days, now gone for at least 14days. Woohoo

Everything was cool prior MSI goes mainstream about 10 years ago. When the company grow big, production also increase. There's a very small percentage of faulty products for most production process. Unfortunately, the higher production numbers, the more likely faulty items get out due to the faulty percentage margin
*
Good point. When i was there earlier another guy came in with i think a ge72 with a damn sad face. I think he was a student.
I totally understand high production will also hv high number of defect but somehow after googling and reading the feedback, it seems like a huge number of msi laptops have problems and not just a specific batch. Meaning its very likely a faulty batch of mobo/gpus that diff models share

Window 10, the key is embedded with Mobo, so your window key will change once mobo change.

SC should active window for you before release, normally microsoft wont bother OEM key, they will ask you back to OEM to fix the issue.
*
Unfortunately SC didnt.
I emailed MSI customer svc rep, she said "engineer said sometimes that will happen in win10, please monitor and see how in next few days"

i LOL'ed but also not impossible since new windows always buggy

You also can try chatting with Microsoft CS, see wether they will help you active the key. (Need to had proof, mobo change and other hardware is not same)

Sometime, leave it few day, Window really will magically active  sweat.gif

Try to get a written reply stating its because of the improper/mishandling whilr installing thermal paste. Then use that try to nego with the shop that did it. Wonder if thats possible?

Really disappointed with msi. expensive but dont even have a proper after sales support team.
BTW bro hellfire, what was the issue? your first replacement mobo was also faulty, and you had to wait for another one?
