Agreed. After all, think about it: why are you in Australia and not some two-bit, 3rd grade university in Malaysia? Its because we have the chance to go overseas. To study.

That's uh very cheap indeed. Well hopefully you won't be disappointed with the place. I myself won't put much confidence if that's the case.

And inclusive of water + electric, mind you. Like I said, not even the shabby places in Clayton would give such a good deal.

But well if it's true, you don't mind me visiting you at your place, would you? =P

hehe...I feel better that way. Twice a year you get either an xtra's hr of sleep, or loose a hr of sleep. Still cant understand the whole thing. just makes my head spin thinking about it. Daylight saving messes with your head and your body clock.

They still have to worry. I'm not very good academically and in real life. But coming from a big family, I have to make use of every opportunity I have. I'm just VERY lucky my parents decided to invest in education rather than, say, lifestyle.

That is WAAAY too cheap. There has to be a catch somewhere. Unless its a real dump of a place or you are staying 1 hr away from the uni, I dont think such prices exist in the world of student accommodation. Course, I could be wrong, but still......

On a more practical note, to those in Brisbane, what do you use for your bus tickets? 10 trip? Weekly? Monthly? What is the best deal? I usually commute to the city from zone 2 during the weekdays, and in the weekends i go down to GardenCity (zone 3). Is it more worth it buying a 2-zone 10 trip, a 2-zone weekly, or a 3 zone monthly?

And where can one buy things like clothes hangers (the type where you pasang to the back of your door)? Tried Crazy Clarks and Big W, no luck.

Alas, what a horrible day. Got stuck in the city as something happened at Malvern station, so I couldn't get back to Clayton through the city loop trains. Instead I had to take a blood packed tram (everyone was doing the same thing as the lines were temporarily suspended) to the Caufield station, then take a train back to Clayton.

Crap man. Lugging 8 KG worth of groceries like that. Bah.
*
Ah, so you got stuck too? I also had to lug back groceries from the city back to Clayton (regretted buying the huge honeydew for $2). It was horrible trying to get on the bus at Windsor (back to Caulfield)...and they say people here don't cut queues tongue.gif

Coles/Safeway seem to dominate almost every area I've been to (Oakleigh, Chadstone, Caulfield), and the asian grocer in Melbourne Central is freaking expensive! (price of eggs increased by 20c) I'm fine with Clayton town but just wondering about other options...

Ah, forgot to ask...anyone knows where to get a decent part-time job? (city area)
