just go sit for it loh..........for technical courses, i think they only require band 5, not difficult to get lah...............

i think you need to get a 6 in IELTS for australian unis. then again, it might differ from uni to uni

besides, its only RM 500. that's little compared to the amount that you need to fork out in the long run like living expenses etc IMO smile.gif

You are totally wrong dude
Study locally in Monash is better than in Australia, Australian lecturers dont spoon feed you which means u must go and do research yourself.. it's not the same in msia, those lecturers actually give u detailed notes and you really dont need to go to library and do research.. i know because i went through the path, so, personally i think study locally is better.. i prefer local.. it's my opinion though.. Trust me, You will struggle In Australia than study locally.. last time i had an average of 89 out of 8 subjects in year but when i transfered to aussie( Same amout of time studying) i only able to score an average of 84.. wtf..
*
I persume you mean Monash Malaysia when comparing it to Australia. Yes, you struggle when you go to Australia. We spoon feed too much. But when universities spoonfeed, we know we're in trouble.

To quote limeuu, no wonder local graduates can't find a job......

I'm in Clayton travelling to the city, so using Zone 1 Metcard daily smile.gif How much cheaper do you get for the monthly ticket? I'm interested if it's cheaper brows.gif thumbup.gif

Ah, btw..does anyone here stay in Footscray? Wanna know how's the area because I've heard it's a Vietnamese area so security might be a problem..but the houses there seem to be cheaper than other areas closer to the city..any ideas?

erm... i used to live in footscray... it is kinda scary during night time... especially the train station area, if you live there with a car, it should be fine... and also they have nice apartments there too with security near the market, not too bad...

but if you live in those houses, people will try to break into it... mine got twice... or just get home content insurance...

by the way, why you use daily? when monthly so much cheaper?

PM eugenel for the price then smile.gif It is indeed cheaper rclxms.gif

Ah..so it is really not that safe to live in Footscray..that's what my current housemate told me. And she said they have a few 'Tanjung Rambutan' centres in Footscray too. So what happened to your house ericca? I assumed you had home insurance then?

Hmm...any other safer areas recommended that is nearer to the city? Anyone stayed in Essendon before?

I used a weekly for 3 weeks cause I didn't wanna waste the week during Easter, but I'll be getting the monthly ticket after Easter biggrin.gif

I'm actually studying in the city wink.gif

Lol, yelled at the burglar? Didn't the guy tried to tie your friend up or something? tongue.gif But it's good no one got hurt.

My budget is around 280/week (max) for a 2 bedroom apartment to share with my sister. Staying in the city is almost impossible with that budget...a friend of mine is paying 750~800/month in the city.
