those who use GNU/Linux should know about package manager eg apt-get/yum etc
and now Windows 10 is getting it codename - OneGet http://www.howtogeek.com/200334/windows-10...r-named-oneget/ Windows 10 Includes a Linux-Style Package Manager Named “OneGet” ![]() Forget the Windows Store. Microsoft is working on a Linux-style package management framework for Windows, and it’s included with Windows 10. It’s being tested with Chocolatey’s existing packages, and allows you to easily install desktop applications and other software. This is huge news. If you’ve ever used Linux, you’ve probably wanted a package management system for the Windows desktop ever since. Now it’s finally arriving! QUOTE(Matrix @ Oct 1 2014, 04:58 PM) Windows 10 will fail. Hahahhaha. I like how it the success is by skipping the 9th. MS Windows always suceed when it's the odd number release: 10- Win 10 (Doomed to Phailed) 9 - Skipped (Succeed) 8 - Win 8 (Failed) 7 - Win 7 (Succeed) 6 - Vista (Failed) 5 - XP (Succeed) 4 - ME (Failed) 3 - Win 98 (Succeed) 2 - Win 95 (Failed) 1 - Windows 3.1 (Suceed) |

QUOTE(albertteh @ Nov 14 2014, 12:35 AM) because DX 12.QUOTE(Matrix @ Oct 1 2014, 04:58 PM) Windows 10 will fail. MS stated that they purposefully skipped a 9 release so 9 never happened.MS Windows always suceed when it's the odd number release: 10- Win 10 (Doomed to Phailed) 9 - Skipped (Succeed) 8 - Win 8 (Failed) 7 - Win 7 (Succeed) 6 - Vista (Failed) 5 - XP (Succeed) 4 - ME (Failed) 3 - Win 98 (Succeed) 2 - Win 95 (Failed) 1 - Windows 3.1 (Suceed) How could a product succeeded if it never existed? hence based on your theory, 10 (which is in fact 9 in chronological order) will succeed. however, sorry to break up this classical theory but IMO win 8.1 is superior to win 7. BF 4 players will conform to this. All that was needed was a Start8 and everything else goes back to how it was. This post has been edited by h@ksam: Nov 16 2014, 03:26 PM |

QUOTE(horns @ Oct 3 2014, 09:25 AM) for now.. only one: the command prompt. after so many years they decided to give it some missing 'features'. wow, 32gb ram onboard? [attachmentid=4157072] the multiple desktops can be called out with win+tab. however for switching between desktops i cannot use arrow keys yet. (must point and click with mouse :/) I think it's still early to say anything. |
