oh. dolby doesn't release drivers usually, so you need to wait for the manufacturer of your device to release it.

HOLYSHIT I have a bad experience with this windows 10.

I stuck too long in boot windows for about 20-mins and still doesn't move to login screen..

Trying to restart but still same problem.

Turn it off and on again and then it prompt to preparing for repair tools page and then black screen with only mouse pointer and nothing else to do.

After this problem still repeating and I can't do anything then I decided to format this windows 10.

Luckily I still have my OEM windows 7 OS from my old unused HDD that tied together with this motherboard.

Decided to boot from my old HDD then it prompt to repair SSD that contain windows 10 OS.

My god it took more than 1 hour to delete whatever process it do because it move so fast I can't catch up its details.

And then when the process finished I proceed to login page from my OEM windows 7, mfw I FORGOT my old login password cry.gif

Tried any passwords that I can think off but it failed again and again and again.

Its been more than 2 years that I used my OEM windows 7 and I can't think of any passwords that I used to (I wish I put a hint at my login page sad.gif )

When I lost all hope then I move to try again to boot windows 10 that recently repaired ( I hope so) and then poof its worked like it was intended.

And then I check out whats the problem (virus/malware/etc) and then I stumbled at Nvidia Driver.

I noticed at my computer it didn't have control panel when I right click my mouse and went to uninstalled all Nvidia driver ( its just Geforce Experience and PhsyX software that installed shocking.gif according to uninstall software)

Used DDU logs to delete everything related to video drivers and then fresh install again then no more problem happen to my pc.

Man I wish Nvidia can fix this issue instead of just release the update that just paste all from older driver and then slap into folders that cause issue.

for some reasons, nvidia still cannot resolve this with ms. i think this was why many of us cannot proceed if we are to follow the original upgrade path. (just out of curiosity, i left one of my computers to follow the whole process. until now it's still stuck at validation process, because of my gpu)

still, it's actually simpler if you use the alternative iso method, have downloaded the latest geforce driver from nvidia (install it before upgrade; then clean up with ddu and install again after upgrade, plus doing the upgrade in a blank old os (use reset). as long as you're well prepared, the upgrade is kind of very straight forward.

It's a shame really, they could have retained a lot of the frequently used features of IE. I am sure there will be future updates to address these concerns, but still, not a good first impression.

I still can't wrap my head around the need to re-design certain features in Windows.

If you look at iOS, they keep "refining" the interface/usability but never really putting the user at a loss. You want that familiarity instead of questioning what you have to do.

As time goes on, I personally hope I will catch on with Windows 10.

Let's just hope that will be in less than a year's time while its still free.  smile.gif

u can just use IE though. it is still there.

for overall design of W10 seem not much different from W8/8.1.. It look similar to me.

More or less the same happened to me. All my other Win8 drivers works with Win10 so I wrongly assumed my nvidia driver is also the same. WRONG. When I installed the driver the whole system refused to boot. It even stuck when I tried repairing. Had to do another format with Win 8, and another upgrade to Win 10. Then I downloaded the official Win 10 certified driver from nvidia's website. Works ok so far

Happened to me as well. I updated the NVIDIA VGA driver through ASUS software that came pre-installed when it was running Win8.1. Screen went blackout after installed the driver. Reboot, forever stuck at 'white circle of death', it just won't boot to Windows successfully. Attempt to repair failed as well.

I had to reformat my OS drive and fresh install Win10 to get everything running again.
