Asrock X370 Taichi 2.4 Bios out (Agesa 1.0.0.6). My Gskill Trident GTZR now runs at the speed that its supposed to run @3200. Hynix Single Rank A die 8GBx2. Woohoo. Next see if Rx Vega is worth it in ?August?September
p.s didnt boot on the first few tries until i had to manually re type in the DRAM settings for each and lower down Tras from 56 to 58 if that would help others This post has been edited by keledek: Jun 9 2017, 09:19 PM |

Only minor issue now is Typhoon program (free ver) only reads my RAM once then dont report anymore. Need to close the prog, wait some time then will read again but again only once. Dont know if its due to the nature/limitation thats its free or not.

(Although my RAMs ran at CL 14 on Bios 2.0 (@2400MHz - max able to boot ..sigh) and then ran at CL15 on Bios 2.3 (also @2400 Mhz max). I just did a "might as well lah..." thing and re type all the DRAM setting manually again (thinking how stupid it is just retyping same numbers) and was surprised it booted and used the CL16 setting now. |

wow, i really cant wait to try manually set it now. was using xmp 2.0 16-18-18-18-35 1.2v
i would believe XMP would use overclocked voltage of 1.35v if not mistaken i feel lucky since everything else was default. Didnt need to play with all those SOC or proc odt voltages
i think i have to manually set to 1.35v, i'll try set around the timing |

i find it weird, there';s only two option for me to choose either load xmp profile or [auto] .if i choose [auto], i can't set the ram frequency ( that option disappear) but i can set the dram timing. and i cant any option to disable xmp on asrock gaming k4 x370
even if i load xmp profile, my ram still runs at 2133mhz. |

Updated my X370 killer sli to agesa 1006 BIOS, not perfect but better now.
Pre agesa 1006, can only run DDR4 2400 Post agesa 1006, can run DDR4 2933 now, but need to pump voltage to 1.38V. I've set SOC voltage manually to 1.2V to ensure stability. |

Mind if we link up on Facebook so I can perhaps pick your brain on some overclocking settings bro?p.s didnt boot on the first few tries until i had to manually re type in the DRAM settings for each and lower down Tras from 56 to 58 if that would help others |

QUOTE(Someonesim @ Jun 11 2017, 02:52 PM) Updated my X370 killer sli to agesa 1006 BIOS, not perfect but better now. SOC voltage don't go too high. I've read that it may reduce the lifespan of the cpu. Try to keep it lower than 1.2v.Pre agesa 1006, can only run DDR4 2400 Post agesa 1006, can run DDR4 2933 now, but need to pump voltage to 1.38V. I've set SOC voltage manually to 1.2V to ensure stability. Usually they increase the dram voltage and some other extra settings that is unlocked in agesa 1006 like procodt? And command rate. |
