Guys, how come the SD AEC channel have now become flatten with 2 black bars top and bottom? It didn't used to be like that. It was fully stretched out (cover entire TV screen) last time.

because they use direct feed from AEC HD. so it will be letterbox when it's on SD since the native is 16:9. watch on HD lah to get full picture or use the fit to screen format.

I've lodged a report that I may need to replace my decoder on Friday. Called the Customer Service and the person said the technician will contact me in 48 hours. But there is no follow up after that. Tried again today and the customer service officer said the technician will call today before 12pm. It's already 12pm and no call or whatsoever. This is unacceptable, as I don't even know if the report is received by the technician or not

I've just upgraded to byond and I am disappointed that only the HD movie channels have 5.1 audio. I'm pretty sure that the rest of the HD channels only have stereo audio.

Another complain of mine is that SD channels volume are very low when compared to the HD channels volume. I'm not sure whether this is Astro's problem or simply my Home Theater In A Box problem.

My setup is: Astro decoder to TV via HDMI. Optical out from Astro decoder to my HTIB.

I also wish that there's a way to stop the decoder from transmitting audio to the TV via HDMI. Some people in my house still persists on turning on the HTIB, and also the TV volume, resulting in 2 audio sources being heard.

Thats why we call it ass tro! BTW not all movies 5.1 is more on FMP/NGC then HBO,well from my understanding u can disable the 2 audio to just 1 output in yr HTS setup and if can use hdmi connection to AVR.
