I used to have an app on iPhone/iPad which can check Astro channels schedule. I no longer can find that on AppStore. Anyone knows about this app?

Try search AstroView

It doesn't look quite like the one I had. This AstroView seems to be the magazine of Astro. Last time the app has a list of all channels and then can go in to each channel to see the daily schedule.

Are you sure you download the correct one?

This looks more like it. Anyway, the old app that shows Astro program schedule that I mentioned previously, I have found out it is called "AstroGuide" with a beige B.Yond app badge, but can no longer be found on App Store. Not sure if this was made by someone or officially from Astro, but I think it would make more sense coming from Astro, as we aren't so free to make apps for Astro. Probably the new app above is the replacement for it.

Can anyone of you test channel 855, Mix Fm on the decoder? Mine has been transmitting Malay THR Gegar instead of Mix since the new software update a few weeks ago. Hmp... rclxub.gif I know people don't fancy the radio service, but it's still a glitch there..

It's temporary switched to THR Gegar for East Coast floods update.

I thought they have another channel dedicated for THR Gegar right so why do they need 855 and the other channel both THR Gegar? hmm.gif Or do you mean the actual FM Mix even on air radio (not from the decoder) also switch to Gegar (meaning all Mix FM operation stop and staff on leave?)?

I was thinking it is a software mistake, unless the Mix Fm on radio from the air also become THR Gegar.

Guys, how come the SD AEC channel have now become flatten with 2 black bars top and bottom? It didn't used to be like that. It was fully stretched out (cover entire TV screen) last time.

So channel 300 now available to all. Am I slow? laugh.gif

Started somewhere early February. Up until a few days ago, the channel takes freaking long to load. When you switch to it, it will show the Rain (No Signal) message for anywhere from 10 to 40 seconds before the channel comes on.

To me, Xi Yue seems like a mix of recycled Hua Hee Tai Hokkien programmes, a few Taiwanese dramas and travelogues, and some recycled programmes from the old Jia Yu/Kah Lai Toi.

Very annoying banner on the UEFA popping up every now and then on various channels like a website advertisement. Is this because of the recent software update few weeks ago?

Just wonder why Astro carry only 1 RTM radio station, Sabah V FM?
Why not carry all the other RTM radio channels.

Astro not just carry RTM Sabah V FM, they also carry RTM Nasional FM & RTM Sarawak Wai FM. Astro haven't carried another RTM Radio channels, Media Prima Radio channels, Bernama Radio channels, BFF 89.9, Alhijrah FM and Star Radio channels.

Oh I didn't know Wai FM is RTM. Does it carry RTM Nasional FM? I haven't seen that when I'm scanning channels.

There are so many radio channels. They should just carry more of them. Hate to have to switch on radio when wanting to listen to stuff that are not on astro.

Basically there's no disadvantage of using SatCR. Satellite signal strength will not be affected even if using dual input LNB (meaning 2 cables for your PVR box).
Just make sure you set the Satellite Settings right at the "Input Source" section on your Astro STB is set to "SatCR" instead of "LNB".

Remember: Connect the satellite cable (from SatCR) only to "INPUT 1" port on your Astro PVR box, not "TUNER 2".

I noticed there is another mode besides SatCR and LNB, ie. DCSS.
What advantage or purpose for DCSS?

Anybody noticed Awani is now doing major programming change.
The hourly bulletins are removed a lot and they have now all these strange documentaries / infotainment things.

English bulletins are now added, if that is the only good aspect I see.

Quite a lot of this DW (some German network) documentaries. I used to see these documentaries a lot back during the early days of ntv7. Is there some sort of affiliation with this German network now?
