ASB2 performance we don't know yet because it's new.. even the 1st year dividend is not out yet.. 10bil units won't be sold out so soon

while AS1M performance we know.. already got some dividend history.. LINK

so I would say, better invest in AS1M for now.. if ASB2 do give higher dividend, then u just withdraw & deposit at ASB2

thanks advise, great smile.gif

Does bank now accept 1 year advance RM 15k for AS1M (200k) & RM15k for ASB2 (200k)? (since already have ASB)

Year 2010 with upfront 3 months advance I managed to open ASB, has the rule changed ?
Does the new BNM rule applies for PNB loan : Maximum personal loan repayment period of 10 years ..TIA icon_rolleyes.gif

I am thinking, does the loan do actually help our economy to grow? I come across some of them, when having 200k loan, they are quite burden.

Received back RHB rebate of 2.5% SC of ASG fund. That was after about 1 mth of purchase. Well not as good as 2% SC but good enough for me. The promo is until end of year.

Sifu William, if I may jump in here ...

popice2u, it is because  in ASNB fixed price funds, the dividends are calculated based on the minimum monthly balances.

Say your latest balance  in your ASB is RM500,000. Consider 2 scenarios.

AA  buy RM50K on 24 Oct
BB  buy RM50K on 31 Oct

Oct dividend will be the same for the above 2 cases as the dividend is based on the minimum Oct balance (i.e., RM500,000 and not RM550,000).

You can put the RM50K somewhere to earn some dividends for a few days first before using it for ASB.

Hope the above is clear.

Cheerio.

It depends on 3 things:
* the amount
* the day difference
* the person

Let me use 1 example to illustrate.

Amount = RM50k
Time either on 1st or 30th of the month
Available saving rate for the short period = 2% pa (guessing here)

If one puts it into ASB on 1st, he will not get any extra dividend.

If one puts it into ASB on the 30th, he will get (from depositing the amount in a bank)

50,000 * 2/100/12 * 29/30 = RM80.60

Like William says, it is the lost opportunity cost. In this case, RM80.60 in lost opportunity cost.

The 3rd factor I stated above is "the person". It depends on THAT PERSON whether this RM80 is worth the hassle or not. Ha.

Cheerio.

Hi, i have a question here since i'm quite new to investing. For all the funds listed in the first and second post, item 1-11, it's all full for non bumi right? We have to ask them each time we visit the branch if there's more slots, correct?

3-6 is available for All incl non-bumi

while 8,9 & 11 are full currently for non-bumi (so u need to ask at the counter if there's any unit available)

There's none, since this offer is to beef up RHB's portfolio hence the discounted admin fee by BNM.
