yup,its due to clutch, like u r driving manual box in 1st gear delay unlesa the clutch is fully open/release. not evidence if using torque converter.

it will be a pain transition to those familiar with torque conv type.

i think it needs not only tcu update, but ecu update also. since its using bosch motronic, totally new n diff from prev conti easyu 32bit controller(which already have its last update earlier this year to solve chocking prob due to cold start n reduce launch delay), i think it will take more time to calibrate it. dunno whether they will come out with it or not or it will be that apparent.

by the way, when u service ur iriz, ask them to check with padt n check whether ir tcu is using the latest firmware. if not,ask them to reflash it.

it only can be done at branch sc though.

bring back the third foot paddle!.. tongue.gif
since now the engine already drive-by-wire mah.. means if the throttle body can be electronically control why not the cvt? Proton should install drive-by-wire clutch paddle for driver convenience.
my five senses is better than electronic .

Strange.. how come in my test drive, I did not face these issues? The route taken has stopping uphill at the flyover near Angsana, and there were no issues faced when driving both 1.3 MT (once) and 1.6 CVT (twice).

Reading the feedback on Iriz by some people, is as if, I drove different cars altogether compared to them...

Actually there is no issue coming out from junction with slight gradient. Lift the brake early, let the HHA do it works, and press the gass pedal.. it will move fast.

But issue to do that tiny adjustment on slope. Just can't control the delay and the power.

Can't tell really. Just use it without tint for a day, the next day already tinted. Swift no tint.

Planing to get one 1.3 executive Manual but my dad prefer auto, does the cvt really lousy than the normal auto transmission?

Is blue is a nice choice than the grey? Hesitant between this two colour

the issue is just clutch based cvt behaviour is diff than other makes that used torque conv at n cvt.

it moves,it just that people expect the rpm will raise hand in hand with speed rise,in iriz, the rpm can shoot easily to 2k rpm before the speed rise,n sometimes u can over rev since u think it didnt move fast. when u adapt to iys character, its not that hard,it just the transition make it hard. thats why some manufacturer like toyota did put step auto mode as standard to.behave like conv auto,so that people will feel familiar as normal auto.

well, its not easy to satisfy everyone, but i think, prtn will try to fulfill all needs as best as it could.

prtn isnt a strong brand, any flaw will be a big one. its not bad actually to prtn coz they will try harder to make a perfect car though. i believe most comments cuz people want prtn to be better than previous,n better than others. something we can be proud of.

about the cvt sound, yes,i do agree its noisy compare to other type cvt,it just quieter than flx n preve.

what can i say about this, if u r coming from previous proton cvt equipped such saga flx, yes you will apppreciate the different between cvt2 & cvt2+,me myself ex 2012 saga flx owner, and i'm impress with the difference in cvt2+ behavior/noise, yes whinning noise still there but less noisy than flx but the main challenge are most ppl who buy iriz are 1st timer or already own other normal AT/torque converter cvt car.

What are the audio files that the player support?

M4A?

Or do they include a list of supported codec in manual?

Be ready to be excited. Just rev until 3.5k at gear 2->3 and 3->4. You will straight away book after that smile.gif
But don't, enter highway and try to get to 120kmh. If you can accept the wind and tyre noise, then you can book it.

The cornering, road holding and suspension, no need to test - it's perfect. The brakes are a bit soft but fine. You can test emergency braking laugh.gif For the fun, test hill assist smile.gif

I'm not speed demon too, but sometimes you need to get out of a junction quickly which can be helpful with fast acceleration brows.gif
