I have dealing with TM for many years, I know which is cause by our fault or TM. I have few modems and routers at home to troubleshoot and familiar to TM troubleshooting method. tongue.gif

Sometimes dealing with them is more of a pain then the slow speed when my speed was under 1mbps and I called them they just keep saying the same thing and wasted 45mins before they send Me a technician

the most stupid one is when all issue nail down not relate to user fault and require technician to check and fix at local side, operator will still encik ah, mau upgrade modem tak, lepas upgrade/renew modem got new warranty and contract .... i always ask them do not follow the stupid procedure set by TM, it will brain wash them become a stupid person without reason mind.

I m using TM for almost 2years, but today I facing constant disconnection every 10minute, any possible of cable/copper wire faulty or just my modern is broken? Recommend to call technician to check? Require to Pay RM53 :s Any pro tm user can help me with this?

Could be the wire problem. You are not required to pay RM53 if the problem is TM’s responsibility. I would call them if I were you.

Thx 4 remind. FYI, technician not yet come, just ask if there is possibility of modern faulty. Just use 1year+, almost 2 now, Wire so fast kaput?

It sounds more like lighting strike happened to me call them come and. Check replace the wires cost like rm15
Also got chance modem damaged

Try bypass the splitter.
Direct connect from telephone socket to modem.

Direct connection, not using splitter. What your opinion? Using the inacom w7100n modem they gave. Is the modem that weak, even cant stand small thunderstorm?

That's a very old router modem. No surprises that it is unable to resist even a small thunderstorm.

So is higher chance modem problem? Or I should wait the tech to come and check. Here what the staff on twitter told me.

"Ok, We will escalate your issue to our team. For your information, a flat rate of RM53.00 per visit (inclusive of GST) will be imposed, unless the fault is within TM’s scope of responsibilities. "

How high chance will be the cable went wrong since I just installed 1 year+ only. Advise pls, Dont want to pay that high service charges. -.-

Ur dsl status looks good..
Check again the status when ur line disconnect & reconnect.
My prob was when 'on' the modem both SNR & Attenuation looks good but once the line disconnect & reconnect itself, my dsl status went from good to worse and it wil disconnect evey few minutes.

Btw, wat package r u using 4mbps or 8mbps?

It looks to be TM fault. Don’t worry too much. If you are worried, get a new router modem to test the connection fors6, I recommend this router modem, instead of the Innacomm that you are using:

Just get the Streamyx username and password if you want to set up the new router modem.

The SNR margin look good, but the down stream is abnormally high, which they could set lower for stability. This might be the reason. Don’t worry about it. It is rarely your fault.

Update: It been raining the past 2 days. Everything seems went back normal ever since the sun came out. Still having no idea what cause this to happen.
Any suggestion to troubleshoot the connection myself before going to TM since their staff is not that helpful either. Thx in advance for helping.

i have 2 experience on this:

1st auto dc-auto reconnect every few minute on 2mb-4mb (rented old house at older taman): it was fixed at time one, suddenly good but comes back, no root cause nail down

2nd case auto dc-auto reconnect random on 4mb: it was due to the wiring from road tiang to house roof (the small white joint box w/2 wire), that joint box wire insulator both are cracked and partially dropped and leave naked wire near the box, and because this joint box was not properly secure, it was hanging there and mostly when windy, storm, raining time causing wires get shorted and that is how the connection dc is happened. beautiful nail down on this case. no more repeated issue after all.

happen to me too, where's your location?

mine is Tampin, Negeri Sembilan.

dc every 5 or 10 or 15 minutes. happen since 2 days ago.

but today afternoon macam fixed edi.

Talked to TM twitter, keep ask this and that, those stupid question again and again everytime make a complain vmad.gif

not only internet you know, telephone also like that, but chance to happen is much much lower

then the twitter staff ask me to try direct conenction, how am i going to test my phone as the chance to happen is like 1 minute in 60 minutes,
