2yrs contract seem hao siao one. me use 4mb rm88 student package as per mentioned 2 yrs contract, been using from 2007 till now 2017 keep paying rm88/month.

next question, can we upgrade to 8mb from 4mb and when can start upgrade? 8mb upload speed is 1mb or 512kbps?

not sure, but 10yrs ago, when i applied 4mb student free small laptop time they also say 2 yrs contract only, but then terus pakai till now with rm88/month. if anyone got experienced need to renew contract to normal package kindly share here. i think they suppose not doing so.

Unfortunately, this is something that you need to sacrifice. There's no way you can remain same hse phone number if you terminate.

In not nice words, TM are not so stupid to easily allow existing Streamyx customers that already been paying hundred over ringgits for Streamyx to downgrade the price with higher or same speed, cuz they will lose money in the end. Imagine if many existing customers are doing this, it won't benefit them at all.

In nicer words, they offer this new package to new customers only as they want to welcome new subscribers.
*
actually they made the package rm89 vs rm89 i think pure force existing 4mb user to upgrade or renew, either way automatically force them bond with 2 yrs contracts, and if they really push those customers back after 2 yrs, wow then they earn a lot with RM160/month....

fuck this shit i dont want upgrade!

that's the question, i think they will not change price after 2yrs (from unicool experience). even it change back to rm160 month after 2 yrs, you can do this:

unhappy path:
- terminate again and subscribe again rm89/month package
- let say NO MORE 8mb rm89/mth offer after 2 yrs, surely the 4mb rm88 still will be there -> new subscribe 4mb rm88/mth (just have new contract 2yrs) ->back to your old time tongue.gif

happy path:
- after 2yrs, they never change to rm160/mth, continue use as it biggrin.gif
- after 2yrs let say NO MORE 8mb rm89/mth offer after 2 yrs, 4mb rm88 still there or newer better package or unifi already present at your area.

thanks to 2 guys from Streamyx 8MB thread informed these (every time open new streamyx will imposed cost below)
- stamp duty rm10 new subscribe; change number rm20
- cable existed, installation charge only rm35 instead rm50
- then you get new modem, phone, hpptv (default for 8MB- rm100 installation 1 time deal)

Right now 4m is RM88?
then why the hell am i paying RM130 per month for 4m speed.
both path is not an idea path, TM usually cuck the user.
i dont think unifi will be available after 2 years in my area.
right now they only make ia available in certain area.
after 2 years they will continue to suck ur hard earn money with the same speed.
once u go for faster speed u will never look back. this is their plan, it's a trap
*
aiya, my assumption id wrong, if after 2yrs back to normal price, 4mb will not rm140 loh... i thought it will be rm88 hahaha

guess i will just take the RM89 8m package 1st, terminate after 2 years
*
i suspect they put note after 2 yrs back to normal price is to threaten existing low price customers, so that they takut go 8mb; bcos if they go 8mb, tm actually getting not thing.

i am thinking to go 8mb, in consideration now. just i want save the rm100 from hpyytv.

hi jimlim007, are you still using unicool package? I believe should be jimat hebat package now, as all unicool package auto convert to jimat hebat package.

For the unhappy path, why so sure there will be rm88 for 4mb package? I thought application for jimat hebat already closed? If closed still can revert?  confused.gif
*
haha, i did mistake which i forgotten that rm88 4mb is also offer package, not default package tongue.gif

If I'm a Streamyx user who paying so much to the money sucker company, this is exactly what I will do as what you said on this post.

According to the T&C of this Streamyx Bonanza Campaign promotion (as of 7 Nov 2017), it lasts until 31 December 2017 only, meaning that you won't be able to enjoy this offer from 1 Jan 2018 onwards.
But who knows, TM may extend promo period to anytime they like... Just like how TM keep on extending webe's RM79/month plan over and over again, saying that "promo last till ___, this is your last chance to grab this offer", bla bla bla... as if this is their tactic to attract customers to aware about the plans and to quickly subscribe to the new Streamyx plans.

So guys, don't be skeptical until you think like "yer... i have to pay the original price from 25th month onwards, i don't wan liao... why this TM liddat one...."

Ok let say now you take 8Mbps RM89/month plan, this is what will happen, according to the T&C of the Streamyx's promo now (7 Nov 2017).

for my case, likely after 2 yrs believe should already have unifi coverage, i been heard is supposed ready in Dec 2016, then Apr 2017 and till now not yet cover. should be by 2019 Nov have unifi laugh.gif

so, go 8mb likely wise choice rm89/mth 2yrs ; this week i go tm point again see if meet new desk girl see can waive the hpyytv one time deal installation rm100 charge lol

If no TV at home then can opt for no installation at all?
*
according to the desk girl, she unable to find settin gin her computer to cancel this option, means it come with 8mb package and will trigger the technician go install once proceed upgrade to 8mb; not sure now how because tm not even update their Bonaza package in their website, so make sense tm not even update their computer package list.

time to learn how to file complaint to MCMC about received zero treatment from TM & discriminate streamyx user since Prime Minister promised existing user to enjoy double speed at same price and unifi user already enjoyed all free upgrade but not streamyx.

will do it on this weekend i am too free hahaha
