just tell them ur snr is 8dB and your connection is not stable. is there any CRC error?

from that dsl status page, is there any CRC error ? anyway, better report to 100, ur SNR too low

and how to know which ibusawat @ tm exchange tower that i connected to?...i live at tasik biru kundang...got 2 nearest tm exchange tower..rawang and sungai buloh...closest is sungai buloh..around 10km using measurement from google maps

well today tm technician come to my house to fix the SNR issue. they are telling me that the dslam open port speed to fast at 25mbps instead of 4mbps and the modem cant hold the speed therefore my SNR get a worst 8db..

afew minutes later after the technician makes call about correction the port to 5mbps..my SNR IMPROVED!! im getting around 28-30db!!

but

im alittle bit confuse when i do some personal experiment after the fix..what i do is :

modem router is set to default setting wish it use ADSL2+ & ADSL2 mode..
im getting 28-30db of SNR
my google ping is 59ms
speedtest ping is 29ms

then i change setting to

modem router set to G.dmt (G992.1) mode only
im getting 21.8db
BUT
my google ping is 9ms
speedtest ping also at 9ms


FYI when choosing ADSL2/ADSL2+ mode..my line getting stable straight line in speedtest insted g.dmt which is a little bit up and down to the whole process of speed test

im more into online gaming...so guys any advice on which mode to use??..as both mode giving me diffrent ping duration..which is better??..help help

Since the speed is almost the same, it wont affect too much. Well, online gaming is all about Ping first then only speed.

would appreciate it if anyone can point or probable reasons for frequent disconnection eg status or log will show DISCONNECTED and ive to switch off and on the adsl modem router again. I also switched off all WLAN and used only Ethernet (wired) - the same

In short, the DSL Light will just blink blink blink and no light on the 'Internet' LED. This begun to happen only recently - meaning for months to years no change in computer or equipment, it never happened - but out of the blue this disconnection problem occurs intermittently eg every 15mins or so

I'm interested to know how 'account got hacked' would result in the symptoms Ive described

I thought that the Streamyx phone number / line is tied hard mapped to the Streamyx account id hence even if one's id and password is hacked (eg if its made know to you), you wont be able to use it at your physical location.

is this not true?

yes the adsl status shows DISCONNECTED and logs show something like PPP warning LCP down (not the exact message bcos I don't have it now)

Anyway calling 100 they could not 'reset port'

However it's been 20 hours since my last disconnection, I assume that TM did something and all is fine now so far with these status:
