QUOTE(blacktubi @ Jun 15 2015, 11:03 AM) Check your ADSL stats, it should be very poor. If you are DIY kind of person, track the entire wire, see which point it is broken and reconnect it. If your location got telephone pole, the connection point is probably in the ceiling since the rest of the wire is concealed in the wall. Try a direct connection to your ADSL modem without filter/telephone as well. orait. thanks bro will check it this evening.

Getting Started

|
QUOTE(FirstAidKit @ Jun 14 2015, 12:55 AM) thanks. will try and see. Btw I have a question here. I have 2 houses, one subscribing streamyx 4MBps package, another one subscribing 1MBps package. My 4MBps package, torrent cannot run at all mostly 0.1kbps. Have to connect to VPN in order to get full torrent speed(sometimes doesn't get full speed about 400kbps++ , and I am using the free router from Telekom. Whereas my another house 1MBps package, surprisingly torrent can run at full speed (100-110kbps) without connecting to any VPN. Using self TP-link router. Does Telekom never filter 1mbps users for accessing to torrent, or the reason I am not using the free router from the Telekom. Hope someone will enlighten me Thanks Nope, i would say it's throttled based on their proxy/server/port. In b4 mid-2013, my 1mbps line can torrent at fullspeed with OEM riger model but after May2013, not anymore. Using 4mbps line from FEB2015, also the same, no connection, have to use vpn.

Is any of the Streamyx package under promotional price transferable?
Example. Streamyx 1mb at RM68 and 4mb at RM88

Hi guys anyone have experience this problem?
My internet keeps dc sometimes. Sometimes at night alot of times, sometimes not much, sometimes ok. quite infrequent the number of dc periods
I went to check to the telephone cable from modem to phone box, the phone box that side seems to be have a little melting occurring. If i change the phone cable, the internet seems stable again. However, recently it keeps getting burnt more often as I have already change it the 3rd time in these 2 years. Last time there was no problem, but this melting issue seem to be occuring recently in this few years.
any ideas what might happen?

The current on the telephone wire won't melt the phone box as well.

It does not melt the phone box but melt the phone head wire like after one year the phone cable head melted very bad. Now recently just change the cable one month ago, now start show signs of infrequent disconnection. luckily is cheap only few RM to change but tired of changing the phone cable everytime (till now buy in bulk as stock at home lol) Was wondering maybe my phone cable to long (using 15 m to extend all the way to the modem upstairs) This post has been edited by minimal88: Jun 18 2015, 10:06 PM

External factor is more likely here.

0.5mpbs upload speed is killing me slowly.
I have seen TM upgrading and adding new TM tower nearby my area. I wish its going to be Unifi. *finger crossed*
