orait.
My problem is:
streamyx line frequently disconnected
sometimes every hours it will DC
sometimes 5-6 minutes DC

worst yesterday 1 day DC. call customer service they said my line check with thier system OK
last 3 month i already report to them my problem and they sent technical support to fix
and tht technical people check my LAN cable at home not ok. termination between the TM LAN (phone cable) to my house phone cable already eaten by rats.
so they just connect back the TM cable to my house cable. still they said possible need to change whole cable inside the house. unfortunate i just rent the house. and i waiting to change workplace soon. maybe will leave that home soon.

i check from deck phone. the phone got line. try call my handphone yes can. but i hear noise.. but the internet still DC frequently. i try using 3 diff modem, i bought new modem but problem same. waste lah sweat.gif sweat.gif .any ideas? can phone cable become problem if the thunder strike it may times? coz my AVR 2 times already faulty because of thunder strike too.

i plan to change to wireless broadband. but still in consideration.

Check your ADSL stats, it should be very poor. If you are DIY kind of person, track the entire wire, see which point it is broken and reconnect it.

If your location got telephone pole, the connection point is probably in the ceiling since the rest of the wire is concealed in the wall.

Try a direct connection to your ADSL modem without filter/telephone as well.
