QUOTE(laith @ Nov 4 2014, 11:10 AM) Pretty consistent move for Kenanga Asia Pacific Total Return Fund, is it due to Japan past one year performance? Hmm... That fund so far has ZERO exposure to Japan

QUOTE(laith @ Nov 4 2014, 11:41 AM) Thanks master . I'm still wondering it mentioned the fund including Asia Pacific + Japan though. They will have the exposure in future? That's their MANDATE Means, they CAN invest in Japan, but they may or may not invest in it at the moment.

"The most important advice I would give to anyone who hasn't started (be it man or woman) and is being held back is to starting investing now, but use a small amount. Something you are comfortable with even if you suffer losses. It can be as little as one thousand dollars because that is usually all you need to start investing into a unit trust. Then, as you invest, you will see how markets and such affect your returns and you will be able to learn from your experiences without suffering too much heartache compared to if you placed your entire life savings into the market and lose half of it in a market crash. The key thing is you have to accumulate investing experience. No amount of prior reading up and accumulating of knowledge can compare with actual investing experience which can only be built up by using your own money to invest. You have to experience the emotional pull that comes from market ups and downs and learn how to handle your emotions during those times. And learning from mistakes made is the greatest teacher". QUOTE(max_cavalera @ Nov 1 2014, 11:29 AM) 2008 drop..2009 2010 up up....2011 drop...2012 2013 up up....2014 drop... Kinda like a repeated cycle pattern dont u think? :/ It is how the market behave. it will wiggle from milliseconds price all the way to monthly price. If you have access to a charting service, zoom in to 1 day chart and zoom out to 20 years chart, they all wiggle and look similar, like waves.

QUOTE(yck1987 @ Nov 4 2014, 02:24 PM) ended right? it is semantic. QE3 officially ended but replaced with continuous bond purchase to replace matured one, keeping the balance sheet, effectively QE infinity. There is $1 trillion worth of bond maturing in next 5 years.
