QUOTE(wongmunkeong @ Sep 7 2014, 08:06 AM) Technically cannot - there are no PM funds carried by FSM. WAH... Master sifu Wong high roller..However... U can check with FSM whether they still allow: 1. Sell PM funds - get proof say $100K 2. Show proof to FSM then buy $100K of similar funds (eg. PM equity to FSM equity funds) at 0% service charge That's what i did 2+/- years back when gave up on PM Are you into share investment? Can't really remember.. |

QUOTE(exergy @ Sep 10 2014, 10:55 PM) Just coming from someone that is not as active here anymore. When a lot of people is mentioning it, it's either a love or hate relationship. In this case, love. Why do we love it? It's making us money. Personally I see China/HK as a promising market (after the lousy performance I got from GEYF), but KLCI is high in terms of valuation compared to the rest of the SEA market, trading at 17x PE. So don't go too gung-ho on KGF. If you monitor the market closely, there's not much of catalyst as of now... for September and October at least based on historical trend. Just a thought for reference. |

QUOTE(Pink Spider @ Sep 11 2014, 09:34 AM) But then again, we are not buying an index fund. When we buy into a good fund, we are relying on the fund manager to deliver us market-beating returns. And this is very possible in less than efficient markets like in Malaysia and Asia ex Japan. |

Sometimes I wonder why I invest in Emerging Market, which currently holds about 10% in my portfolio.
Managed it to fully dispose it at a very small profit back then, but buy back and just leave it ever since. Currently at a 6% loss. |

QUOTE(Pink Spider @ Oct 31 2014, 10:05 AM) Luckily I still get small profit...about 8% ROI, IRR about 4%+ You invest for a very long time already; different. Roughly how long already btw?Volatility is crazy I think I'm not dumping, just won't top up anymore Now share boring already, so come back focus and see what can I do with my UT portfolio |

I'm tempted to enter into AmCommodity, in view of the recent crude oil drop.

QUOTE(Pink Spider @ Nov 10 2014, 03:00 PM) I sold it at a ROI of 8.8% and IRR of 3.6%. Not bad lar.Like what you mentioned, September big loss has all recovered as well. Back to square one. During this period, I did not do any top up. Not drastic enough. |

QUOTE(xinkof @ Dec 8 2014, 03:47 PM) Hey all, i have a question. I think this question has been answered in the past. Taking CIMB Global Titans fund as an example, this fund has benefited from the MYRUSD appreciation.Does the dropping of MYR value affects our investment in foreign UTs in any way? For example, is it a good/bad time to invest more in foreign UTs now? Sorry if it's stupid question but I just thought from a logical perspective. |
