Need help guys, I want to remove minor swirls and marring on my car roof, bonnet and hood. Already got this Turtle Wax Swirl And Scratch Remover. Are this sufficient or do I need other higher end products?
The question is, are the Turtle Wax Swirl And Scratch Remover sufficient? Or do I need higher end products. On my mind is the Meguiars Ultimate Polish RM82++ at Parkson or Menzerna SF4000 from online seller for RM88/500ml. Help me. This is the last product I need to prepare before start detailing my new car this CNY holiday.
Another query would be I wanna properly thoroughly wash my car before give it protection, so wanna remove tar if any. I am already dry of fund to buy proper tar remover solvent such as OSREN tar remover. I already have Cosway Multipurpose cleaner (it is more like gel type like most of our wash shampoo), I have dilute 1:10 and it quite strong I would say, can I use this Cosway Multipurpose cleaner and at what dilution should i go for? Or got read online can use Diesel to remove the tar easily, but do not let it dry on the paint. Also got read add a little diesel to the Multipurpose cleaner solution. Or any other ghetto way to remove tar on bodypaint?

i would say, go for it.
its mostly in the skills/technique you use, and of course your determination.
generally, upgrading to better (typically much more expensive) products merely "ease" the process.
hypothetically, given a damn good pro, a low end (like turtle wax) product, vs a high end (say, dodojuice? car pro? auto glym?), he should be able to achieve the same* (*again, for analogy/exemplary sake) results.
however the low end product may require him 3 days, while the high end product may only require him 1 day.
further more, buffing off the low end item may require more elbow grease, while the high end product may be a lot more user friendly, with some nice fresh fruity scent* to keep the user feeling more motivated. (* bear in mind though, majority of the professional products will no longer have these "user friendly" scents, such as most of, if not all of the meguiar's professional line products such as the mirror glaze
http://www.meguiars.com/content/global/cat...ProCatalog.pdf)again, if you're dry on fund/on a budget, try not to focus too much on products (remember the mf cloth advises earlier?) and try to focus more on your techniques and making the best of what you have.
to perhaps enlighten you, do you know that a lot of my past results, are typically eye tricks?
i've applied glazes (with a lot of fillers

) and multiple layers of waxes, and with good camera lighting/angles, i can create near show car level results with mere consumer level products and skill. (i'm definitely no pro, mind you)
it's to the point i've gotten a lot of actual serious request from relatives to help detail their car, which i reject because i simply don't have the time nor do i know how to charge them.
the best thing is my black car looked like blue to them, which i've even included side by side comparison shots with a blue BMW 5 series
