Hmm looking at 3 car(family) to maintain? Frequency hard to tell..i use carnauba wax instead of synthetic.
Pads are must I assume...basic products like polish and wax got. Glaze, compound and Pro stuff don't have. Basically don't see a need for it since cars are new and well maintaine . |

QUOTE(g88 @ May 18 2015, 02:45 PM) Still getting it. Matter of time. muahahahahaha. That feeling of impeccable shiny car, most here would understand.Aside from osren, any other brands to recommend? Doesn't have to be branded. As long as it does the job of polishing and waxing...hmmm |

QUOTE(Gabarn @ May 18 2015, 04:19 PM) For 3 cars , its justifiable to get a Rupes eh ? Spending RM 930 on Ultramate is already half way there , haha . Double the budget would get you a bundle of the kit plus lots of pads. Out of my league and out of my budget. Waiting reply from dodo juice Malaysia. Seems like buff daddy got good reviews. If it's cheaper than ultramate, can consider. Else fall back to random orbital. g88 has a point. if mainly for applying i might not even use often. weekly top up will do. Me just enthusiast, clean my car weekly only. |

QUOTE(aeiou228 @ May 18 2015, 06:11 PM) I'm in a same situation, contemplating to buy a machine due to sore fingers during waxing. But after I bumped into this RM10.90 Tesco applicator pad with palm handle, Waxing is so much easier and painless now. The palm handle has a Velcro backing plate that holds any pad, sponge and micro fibre tower firmly. Maintaining 3 cars at the moment and I think I will abort the idea of buying a DA polisher. is the applicator pad purchasable? and what size is this?[attachmentid=4452543][attachmentid=4452547] 10.90. Good deal la! How's this on light polishing? |

Dear sifus,
I wish to remove my current wax and to have it replaced with synthetic wax and carnauba wax on second layer. Do you recommend claying prior to re applying wax at this step for maximum chemical bonding? or merely stripping and reapplying would do? |

QUOTE(g88 @ Jun 8 2015, 02:54 PM) why you need remove instead of top up another layer ? Oh well it not about how many layer you apply...most of the time its depend on product durability itself aside from surface preparation. I'm greedy. I like long lasting and i like it to be reflective. So though of having collinite 885 as first layer and carnauba wax on the 2nd for shinny effect. Unless there is a wax that does both |

QUOTE(stevenng97 @ Jun 21 2015, 10:33 PM) I buy from there previously. Above 100 free shipping, so if you are buying above that, then it would be cheaper than most.I always compare though. Sometimes they can be more expensive. Check out madmotormalaysia too, sometimes promotion cheaper. I've found a new source, cheap stuff Not too sure if it's original or not, price varies too much. |

QUOTE(junbecks @ Jun 25 2015, 12:32 PM) can, no prob. I used that or use Ultimate Quick Detailer. But not after each wash. Kinda waste money since I wash about every 4 days. I use tar remover to remove bird poop, not sure if it's recommended, but it loosen it very effectively.Clay the whole car, start with the top. Leave the lower panel of the car (where you said its most rough) last. personally, if the car is full of dust, wash the car cheaper. If you use Quik Detailer to wipe the car to remove dust, you gonna finish the bottle very quickly. I use QuiK Detailer to remove finger prints or bird poop, Currently using turtle wax tar remover, that thing is potent, can even remove pen ink from my marble floor. |

QUOTE(junbecks @ Jun 25 2015, 04:54 PM) cheee...i use perfume also can remove pen ink from floor. Just curious, does tar remover removes wax coating?anyways, no problem using the turtle wax, should be effective if the bird poop is really a few days old. Detailer tend to have one box in the boot, to keep Emergency First Aid Bird Poop removal kit. No way im gonna pour hugo boss to remove ink...hahaha |
