It have been so long since the first mi3 arrive in Malaysia. Are sure they still ship with v14? Cause other phone companies usually ship with the altest updates.

there are certain user; like me, cannot set it. It doesn't even show up at Launcher setting. Gave permission, reinstall, restarted phone also can't fix this problem.

if like that , you got 2 choice

1) get a new sim card from operator (i think these days those new sim card can be convert to normal or micro sim)
2) get a new micro sim tray


both same price. Which one is your choice ?

By the way, i found out activate the mi cloud will cost one SMS RM0.15

I am using Digi prepaid all the time, once i slot my sim card in, switch on machine for first time, come to key in pin for sim card, the phone start suck internet data and causes RM8 gone =_= , belum sempat set the wifi password or turn off mobile data =_=

lesson from this, take out sim card and do setting until done only put the sim card in.


*** Previously Sony Xperia phone will ask you key in wifi password first before come to download internet setting for the sim , so can avoid active mobile data before wifi.

hmm.. then I'm out of option.. my default laucher now is Google Now..

may i know which version of rom you are using..because im using latest stable rom but cant find google now launcher in default page

oh, i am using latest DEV rom 4.8.15

i face your issue too,..

but finally i able to set google now launcher as default,

there is this step,

u need to download older version of the google now launcher apk file > here

extract and install the google home.apk only

make sure your did install Google search from playstore and turn it on too

go to play store > my app > update the google home > reboot your phone,

go to setting > app > default app setting > launcher > select the new appear goole search > choose replaces option,

now go to open/run your google now launcher app

then you will be on google now launcher,.

make sure all your google component is ON & auto start ,. instead of disable

just got mine install google now launcher
