1. Is there any further manual which can be downloaded?
2. I want to maximise battery life on the phone, which settings should I tweak?
3. Do I need to disable glove mode?
4. Do I need to use Number Fixer if I want to install Whatsapp and line?
5. Do I need to fix the security issue for whatsapp and line?

Thanks

SIM adapter will break the SIM pin, I learn it the hard way.
The original slot is just around RM10.

What happened last time you tried to eject it?
I used nanosim adapter and had no problems with ejecting/inserting it back, or maybe I'm just the lucky one.

I see, so better not to use sim adapter. Maybe that's why xiaomi stopped including it in MI3.

It will break the pins only if you insert the adapter without a sim and then try to remove the adapter.

The small seam between the actual SIM and the adapter pulled the SIM pin out.

There is nothing wrong with using a Sim adapter. Only don't put in an empty Sim adapter without the Sim card in it. Xiaomi used to ship with both a mini and micro Sim tray. Dont know why now they dont? There is also a nano mi3 Sim tray available. Buy at Taobao

As long as your sim adaptor got no gap/hole....should be fine. 1 pulled out my sim few times without issue.

2. battery saving mode, but that is laggy and defeat the purpose of own a snapdragon 800 device
5. errr,my whatapps work(display pic) from v14,v18 and dev roms, mi3 shipped with v14,so,as long as u dont update it to v22,23,should be allright, just wait they solve it

I just flashed miui_MI3WGlobal_KXDMIBF23.0_69adb845f8_4.4 but the MIUI version shown is KXDCNBF23.0. I thought they should be tally with each other, no?
