Whats the rebate like for 06 and 07 model?
I heard its a big difference..
*
For 2006, is RM 3800 + freebies
For 2007, is RM 2500 (RM1k from Honda, RM1k by using Citibank CC to pay downpayment, Rm500 from SA) + freebies

I really feel lucky for not rushing for the 2006 car otherwise the resell value will be horrible in the future.....

Today went to Brothers @ Kelana Jaya & Eneos @ 1 U, hunting for the 3M floor mat and BM horn. Too bad no luck.

I'm looking for the Stebel BM Horn (RM 65 from Eneos) + RM30 installation fee, but too bad they don't have stock, also 3M floor mat, but Brothers only carry 3A (Replica). Anyone try the 3A one? Good or worse than the 3M?

Dear City members, please introduce a shop that sell Stebel BM Horn with good workmanship(prefer lower installation fee). Also please guide me to the shop that carry ORIGINAL 3M floor mat with reasonable price.....

Thank you very very much......

Which brand of brake lock & steering lock is good for City? Between brake and steering look, which one is more recommended? Why?

Air freshener, thought this will cause the air-cond problem? Please clarify. TQ.

Still hunting for the customised mats. Wanted to buy 3M ones, please intro some place with reasonable price.
*
Take both brake and steering lock. Brake lock is more effective, but thieves can't see it until they're inside the car. Steering lock to act as deterrant. If a thief sees 2 Cities parked together, 1 with steering lock and 1 without, which one will be faster to steal? smile.gif

Air freshener, you don't need those clip-on types, get those types which you can place somewhere else, like hide under your car seats.

Mats, I got mine cut at accessory shops, not 3M, but should be good enough. Not cheap either, RM100+ for the whole set. You should get the 3M ones becos I think they fit better.

i dun like the air-freshener that clips onto the vents.
they brake the vents or make them kenot move in sync with others.

about the locks, get a stoplock airbag for your city.
get a cheaper brake lock for extra security at dangerous locations.
upgrade the alarm and immobilizer to a 2-way system, recommend Radiostar.
got money put safety tint instead of normal tint but the drawback is that it will make the glass harder. so if u don't wear seatbelt and flyonto the windscreen it will break your face instead of hurling you outside.

when i pointed out a question at their sales people that if the tints are all round tinted, so how does one break out of the windows in case of emergency? say when your car flew into the river/monsoon drain with all windows up? sweat.gif

thus usually for safety-tints, leave the front windscreen as most people break-in also through your side-windows.. not windscreens (rare case but there are some people that do so)

Besides 3M, there's also VPS and lately.. quite a number of companies have crop up with safety-tints..

The reason i asked becoz' I think it's not necessary to install those steering or brake locks.

Since the car has an immobilizer, you cannot start the car without the coded key.
The key is not only a key, it has a built in circuit, without it the car cannot be started.

Even if someone has your alarm remote, he/she also cannot start the car without the coded key. Even if cut another key to the same shape also cannot start the car.

Which is why i want to know did anyone had their car stolen.

don't ever lose the key, otherwise you need to get the spare, then you have to get them to make a new set of key, otherwise people who got the lost key can easily steal your car.

If you lose the alarm remote, then it's still ok, since u can still start the engine after keying in the security code with the key in the ignition, if you lose the key, sorry la... cannot start the car at all.

Even car thieves can drive away a car with high-end security, so since they can get it done.. that means there are alternative ways to start the car (hotwiring, whatsoever i dunno)..

but if it's not a case of car theft and you lose your car key, you'll definitely require the spare to start the car or get a tow truck.. (the alarm blares, but it'll automatically go off after a while)
