Today went to hunt for the BM horn, 3M carpet and the screen sand blasting for car number.

The BM Horn is Hella New Generation BM Horn, RM 90 (inclusive of relay + installation) Not the red colour one, is fully black colour, come with a bigger box as packaging. ANYONE USING THIS TYPE? Pls give some commend. TQ.

3M carpet (not original but the boss claim is under 3M & quality almost the same), RM 5.50 per sq ft (less than RM100 for the front and back floor, excluding the boot area)

Sand blasting, RM 20 for 4 windows.

So guys, hows the pricing like? REASONABLE or expensive?

I got mine more than a year ago from where I installed my ICE. It cost me RM80 or RM85 for the product and installation - inclusive of relay. Stebel Nautilus BM Horn if i'm not mistaken. I like it more compared to the Hella's (i've compared mine with a friend's car).

Half year after I installed mine, I install the same horn into my sister's myvi and was told of a price hike to RM95, but because I was a "regular" there.. They gave me the same price as before..

edit: That was before I re-located my horns because it looks ugly although it's black. It is now well hidden wink.gif

Stebel Nautilus BM Horn, is it single unit or double unit? What colour is yours?

Your regular place, meaning where? Mind to share before I proceed to Hella?

Btw, what make you prefer Stebel over Hella? Tone, quality, color or ?

Oops, my mistake.. It's the Stebel TM80 Magnum (can't recall the exact model) but it's a BM Horn, dual units. Mine is black.

Eureka Car Audio opposite Giant Puchong.
I went for Stebel before even listening to Hella.. but after comparing with my friend's car.. I still prefer the Stebel wink.gif

Ok, looks like I will still go for Stebel. Ya, the one I saw today also Stebel TM80 Magnum. Not mistaken, the boss offer me less than RM80 inclusive relay + installation.

Btw, I understand there are imitation ones, may I know how to see the difference. TQ....

The Mugen Air Press (Door Visor) I bought from Best Feel Sunway (a shop away from Racing Fit) last time for RM170 sweat.gif Has "Mugen" etched on the visors. Not sure what grade it is laugh.gif but i know you definitely can get cheaper ones out there.. but what material it consist of, i don't know ler.. but i guess what people term it as "it gets the job done" wink.gif

I don't use any door sills because I don't see any need for them.. wink.gif

cheers!

keke.. haven't go see Mr. Chow la laugh.gif

I think your neighbourhood kedai abang sells it for RM88 but with a different etching on the visors.. elsewhere, i have no idea smile.gif btw, i think the door sill plates goes for around the same price also..

mugen pedal? not sure how much replicas are going for.. i know the originals retail for about RM600-650 but i think not many people are buying it thus price has dropped to about RM3xx-4xx...

Original Mugen Visors compared to replicas would be that the Mugen wordings are moulded to the visors and they have clips to the door as well. Replicas, only etchings and double-taped to the door laugh.gif

Jackie :

Just wondering, did you re-wire for your horn installation or just using back the original wire + relay?

Is it necessary to re-wire in order to install the horn?

It uses the same wiring with additional wirings to the relay <-> battery.

You can install the horn with the original wirings but replace the fuse with a higher amp one OR using a relay with additional wiring.. Either way would still require the existing wiring..

You can have the sandblasting done for free when you tint your windows. I did mine at Tint Shop. The sandblasting for the side windows should be done at the triangular mini-windows next to your side mirrors so they could not be hid when you wind down the windows.

I saw my neighbour's City (with BK and HID and siren), his sandblasting has Honda's City logo, and the plate number is below the logo. Very cool.

Jackie, did you notice any increase of wind noise after installing the visors? Or less noise?

What are door sills?

Well I always believe ... when there's a will there's a way ... no matter how safe or how secure it is laugh.gif ... But safe tints usually range 1.7k min and above

it isn't that much expensive if u consider vkool's price a few years back.

QUOTE(unitron @ Jan 15 2007, 01:34 PM)
The reason i asked becoz' I think it's not necessary to install those steering or brake locks.

Since the car has an immobilizer, you cannot start the car without the coded key.
The key is not only a key, it has a built in circuit, without it the car cannot be started.

Even if someone has your alarm remote, he/she also cannot start the car without the coded key. Even if cut another key to the same shape also cannot start the car.

Which is why i want to know did anyone had their car stolen.
*
are you sure there is a microchip or something embedded in the fat keys?
how does the chip work? like bluetooth the car can sense it is around?

the only car i see with real keyless entry are from impul.
too far away and you kenot unlock the doors by pressing the button on the door.
have to be near with the key only can enter.
then no need to put the key in the ignition.
just crank it.
as long as the "key" is in your pocket.
dunno how it wokrs but it is cool!
