Hahaha! You're like me. I lost count already for how many times I watch Shawshank Redemption. Never bored me and the narrating by Morgan Freeman is the best. thumbup.gif

Btw, just watched POTC : Dead Men Tell No Tales. Good movie 7/10. Just I think its a bit fast. Idk why. Hoping for an amazing sequel. icon_rolleyes.gif

47 meters down 1080p 5.1 low budget movie and mandy moore was in it. what? i mean how old is she already. the last time i saw her was in A walk to remember. Been listening to her music when i was in school.

Anyway the movie is not bad for a low budget. 3.5/5

First They Killed My Father(2017)
Director: Angelina Jolie.
Screenwriters: Angelina Jolie, Loung Ung.
Producers: Angelina Jolie, Rithy Panh, Ted Sarandos, Michael Vieira.
Cinematographer: Anthony Dod Mantle (Slumdog Millionaire)
Cast: Sareum Srey Moch, Phoeung Kompheak, Sveng Socheata.
Language-Khmer with English Subtitles.

A true survival story, adapted from the bestselling 2000 memoir by
Cambodian activist Loung Ung as she and her family fled capture by
the invading movement led by Pol Pot.

The Khmer Rouge dismantled ever aspect of western life and
modern culture in Cambodia by force or death.
On the run and separated from her family, Ung is eventually
forced to train as a child soldier in order to survive.

Many rarely remember the Cambodia's Khmer Rouge genocide.
or talk about the Khmer Rouge era that started during the end
of the Vietnam war that erased an estimated quarter of the
nation’s population.

A rare film and a story that needs to be told.
This film it is far away from Angelina Jolie's best work
as a director.
But she has created an accomplished piece of work
which is of a genuine artistry and its fact quality.
She shows us the madness of the Pol Pot years from the
vantage point of a child.

Most of the film's visual language is not her alone.
Anthony Dod Mantle brings his signature oversaturated color
palette and his trademark roving digital camera to the picture
and gives its own personality.

The film has cleared one of the Academy's Oscar requirements
for consideration in the best foreign-language film category.

I often watch HD video and movies, which I usually find on HDbits tracker. My friend once sent me interesting trackers invites and now I can find any kinds of movies for watching. Btw, now I am watch The Saw, because I am familiar with horror movies. hmm.gif

Is there any rules there? Must keep seed and leech ratio or anything?

Yeah.. It's either keep one's system running or get a seedbox. Ive swung both ways and still like to keep me feet wet. You know, either for the occasional old movie that's not seeded properly on public trackers or the good stuff. Retired? Pls, I see your flag sailing dem seas too. tongue.gif

Occasionally some optimistic fella registers and spams threads.. Got cleaned pretty quickly.

Edit: Apologies.. Let's not go off topic.

A Ghost Story(2017)
Director: David Lowery
Writer: David Lowery
Stars: Casey Affleck(Manchester by the Sea-2016)
Rooney Mara(Carol-2015)

Expecting a horror or supernatural drama?
You will be disappointed.
It's not a film for everyone if you hate slow movies.
If you're more open-minded, then go for it.
It's a movie that asks you to feel, more than think.
People either seem to love or hate it, with no in-between.

Shot like a home movie, square aspect ratio with rounded corners from the 70s.

Affleck and Mara play a couple living in a modest single-storey home.
He's a musician, tender, loving and often wrapped up in his music.

She doesn’t appear to work.
Keen to move, but he has an attachment to the old house for reasons
that he can’t express.

He is lying on a mortuary slab following an off-camera car accident.
Rises from the dead and invisible to his wife.he witnesses as she first
grieves then begins to move on with her life.
With heartbreaking impassiveness, he just stands by,
witness her having a romantic episode with a new man,
and again as she prepares to move out.

And the ghost is left behind, condemned to roam the house,
to watch over all its subsequent tenants, and then to haunt the
property that will one day be built on its demolished remains.

The film’s presentation of ghosthood by individuals who refuse to let go
of the life they can no longer have. Can we really expect to live on
beyond our deaths? And everything that marked our time on Earth destined
to be washed away?
And example of western religion ideas about afterlife.

Just saw this last night. Beautiful and sad.

Thread's all about 1080p movie love. No TS or camrips crap. 4K is allowed cuz it's higher res and gooding. TV shows have been discussed briefly now and then, but those are rare and can get messy. So, we'd rather stick to just movies.
