What you mean impose to others, if there is a section in lowyat forum to review movie, then that is the place people should go but if the mod allows it then i have no problem but still i have opinion on it.

Like if you dont like i posted images of kodi of coz you can say what you want, but i also have to respond to that. This is a forum.

For example , I can say a bs if someone posted in this forum that he watched Guardian of Galaxy volume 2 and post a movie poster in here now.

That should be enough from the both of you.. Chokia, if someone of our ranking watches a 1080p movie, comes in here and posts a photo or trailer, along with a recommendation or not about the movie (obviously without spoiling the movie for others).. None would question it. Same applies to a newbie.. cuz why else would one simply post about a non-1080p movie?? To increase one's post count or comment for the sake of commenting? That's pathetic. The majority of us in here have the means to independently verify if it's available or not... As such, we tend not to discuss how and where to obtain such content especially through illegal means. You may not be prosecuted now, but data is being gathered. So if someone does post incorrect info and you have the data to backup, then by all means respond with it being BS. Else, move along.

My only gripe with your posts is the presence of the Kodi screenshot.. I'm aware that to you, your intentions are noble but in true fact they aren't. As you aware, I and a few others run the Kodi thread and no week passes that some newbie doesn't come in asking such questions about buying a "Kodi Box" and how that instantly equals having a Netflix experience. The Kodi devs have been fighting this perception and with added pressure, the only outcome is that they quit. I'm sure you don't want that to happen. I, in my little way is trying to correct that perception. So we'd appreciate it if you at least refrain from posting such. It will not take away from the fact that you watched a certain movie and informed others...

So unless you folks want to produce a drama of your own.. Enough of the forum drama.. You are both better than this.

Depends on the file itself.. Not all 1080p files are equal.. Most PCs, media boxes and mobile devices can handle playback. This thread though isn't the place to discuss such devices.

Please stop this rather pointless argument. I return to this thread all the time because I enjoyed reading posts by Movfreak. At the same time, I appreciate getting the heads up on new movies by Chokia and made good use of AVFAN's ratings. Frankly said, I only choose movies rated 3.5 and above by AVFAN. Don't stop just because of what transpired recently.

I would be the first to admit that I sometimes do not strictly "stick to the topic heading".

When I do that there are reasons why I do that

1) If the movie is release as a direct to video and will not been shown in the cinema, I choose to put my review here, because as I had stated, it is not shown in the cinema.

2) I do also put reviews of old movie that has great or otherwise transfer to 1080p. I do revisit old movies. And if they get great transfer I do tend to share that here as well. In case there are old movie buffs here as well.

I hope that is okay.

We are here because of one reason, and one reason alone.

We are all movie buffs.

That in itself should be a unifying and not a divisive factor.

Everyone has their own way of expressing their appreciation for the thing they love.

Whether we agree or disagree with the form of expression, it is an opinion.

Shall we agree to disagree and move on from there?

It would be a shame if this topic gets closed down because of everyone is passionate about their own opinions and their own opinions alone.

First of all I would like to thank everyone who has posted movies for the purpose of sharing what's available. I have certainly benefitted from all the posting, which I do come in from time to time, just to check whats available.

Sometimes I posted movies I watched, truly, just to share some great movies which hopefully would be beneficial to everyone. And in most cases if not all, they were in 1080 format.

I don't think we have strict forum format for this channel that we should stick to, as long as we do share about movies available for viewing. For those that share the audio format, it is a definite big plus.

Lets make it this way. Format to be guided by our own conscious and common sense. Afterall we are all above 18 (I think). In other country, 18 year old could well be heading a massive anti-government rally. I am sure we can handle small issue like forum posting right ?

And lets cherish the freedom too. Too many rules made us a dull boys(girls).

Btw: to play 1080, basic i3 chipset from the last two generation should be sufficient even with embedded basic intel graphic chip. I am using one i3 as my HTPC, no lag whatsoever.

Aiyo, so much happenings here while I was away.
I was away from here because the bulb in my projector exploded a week ago, not watching movie for a week now.
And this time around, I will try to save some money by changing the bulb myself instead of sending it to Vismart. Still waiting for the delivery of the bare bulb.

i come here just to read personal reviews and rating about new and old released 1080p movies which people like mov freak and avfan ( just name a few )have done beautifully,the other thread about movies review is for the new movies release in cinema.....not for watever kodi new titles release which my 7 years old son also can share..now i wonder,how old are u chokia?

Remember Mel Gibson and Goldie Hawn?

Well, this movie was when they were HOT (eg. they names could draw movie audiences)!

I would categories this as a action/comedy.

How else would I describe this?

Okay, Goldie Hawn plays a TOUGH lawyer, she pulverizes any "opponent" in a boardroom.

Because she is good at what she does, she is wealth and have a wealthy lawyer boyfriend/partner.

But under the tough exterior she is...

Okay, one days, she is out of town and in a rented BMW, she stops at a small town gas station to gets gas and she see Mel Gibson, who looks alot like her first husband. She confronts him, and he denies that he is her first husband.

She pretended that she believes him, but return later to confront him again, and when she arrived at night, he is being attacks by two guys, wanting to kill him!!!

Comedy mayhem transpires!!

Well, this was done in the 90s.

It is a little period, and if you like "mistaken identity?" comedy, this is actually good.

Mel, "flexes" his funny and chameleon bone and his chemistry with Goldie is good.

Video transfer is a little "soft" and overall decent.

I cannot remember if I watched this is the cinema, so chances are, I probably first watched it on LD, and having said that I still enjoyed the transfer.

Another blast I got from this movie is the soundtrack, music from the stage show Hair (Aquarius) and cover version of Leonard Cohen's Bird On A Wire (hence the movie title) by the Neville Brothers were really an appreciated blast from the past.

So is you like "aged" comedy, give this a swill!!
