Teen Titans: The Judas Contract (2017)

Alas, if only DC is able to adapted their life action movies this well.

C'est la vie

Story wise this takes place after Justice League vs. Teen Titans (2016)

Terra is introduce.

Probably one of the most iconic story line during the 90's. One of Marv Wolfman and George Perez BEST work!

And it adapted well to this animation (some artistic license is taken, but overall, nicely done)

Well done DC, keep this up.

Watch this people, just watch this

Cook Up a Storm (2017)

A throw back to 1990's Hong Kong type movie that is... decent...

My only complain is that they do not "hyperbole" the cooking and food

And direction and editing, was not... impact enough to push this from decent to very good

age of shadows is a fine korean spy drama-thriller set during the japanese occupation period.

not too much action but the drama is quite intense.

big name stars - sang kang-ho (shiri, snowpiercer), gong yoo (train to busan) and lee byung-hun (iris, terminator genisys, magnificient seven).

3.5/5.

Lavalantula (2015)

Have you had one of those days, where you are sitting on your couch and you JUST DO NOT WANT TO MOVE....

You had switched on the TV and you just watch what is on...

This happened to me a couple of days back and for some odd reason, it was on Syfy Channel (which I rarely watch).

Lavalantula was on.

Apparently, on for at least two thirds of the movie.

Several comments about this "gem"

1) Steve Guttenberg is in this? Steve Guttenberg whom we all love in Police Academy and Coccoon!!! He is reduced to doing this?? The synopsis to Lavalantula states it best "Colton West, a once popular movie star and action hero from the 90s, is now reduced to acting in low-budget movies about horrific bugs. The old days of glamour and stardom, seem to be long forgotten and now Colton, the star of "Red Rocket""

2) The title, Lavalantula!!!

3) The story, nothing can be said about the story.... That's is, NOTHING CAN BE SAID!!!!

Took me a few days to recover from this gem...

SyFy many these kind of movies, I think more or less started to become big with Sharknado sweat.gif

Since then, many ol' timers acted in such movies...Debbie Gibson, Tiffany, those ol' Beverly Hills 90210 stars, etc.

I wonder what are they thinking (except for the money....) rolleyes.gif

i find cook up a storm a light "food drama" show.

nowhere near stephen chow's good of cookery with all the action, humur and food display.

still, quite a watchable movie.

i would have liked it to contain a few more scenes with talented cooks battling each other!

2.5/5.

kung fu yoga is one of jackie chan's better movies in recent times.

this one's got all his usual action comedy stuff - kungfu, humor, stunts, car crashes, pretty ladies and... great colorful landscapes this time. several indian stars as well.

the story... kinda borrowed a line or two from indiana jones: raiders of the lost ark. 3/5.

xXx: return of xander cage... is a so-so action movie of vin diesel. simple story but fairly good action with big action stars donnie yen and tony jaa. with paul walker rip, fast & furious series probably won't continue for long. so, xXx (or riddick) series with new stars can provide a new avenue for his next movies...?

the acting is poor.. just for the action only. 2.5/5.
