My impressions on PES 2008 so far after not playing it since the last Xbox PES, is that its still feels like PES but much faster paced like FIFA. Graphics is still kinda meh compared to FIFA but that's a given. The PES feel is still undeniably there and its still fun and one of the best 2 player couch madness with friends fun! Tried an XBL match last nite with mistaman and while playable it does lag and the speed/pacing seems slightly reduce probably to account for the lag. As with the other comments before, the replay function this time is kinda crappy. Its like the engine can't handle drawing so many player details up close so its jerkier than beef jerky. Still I'm enjoying it and as FIFA gets closer to PES like controls and feel with better enhancements everywhere, the temptation is there to switch camps (no I don't need to buy 2 footie games)

edit- On an aside -> I must say the "Engrish" manual and box cover is unintentionally hilarious. It's a laughable translation from the Japanese manual (all the screenshots in there are in Japanese) and the amount of grammatical and spelling errors are enough to make "Engrish" fans happy!

At least the menus in game are better translated, probably taken from the PES version. Ok that's it, back to "SHOOT-O!" tonite.

I got my World Soccer: Winning Eleven 2008 yesterday

Review from 3 games I played:
GOOD-
realism football
nice AI (the AI leading 4-3 at 86th minutes, they try to hold the ball at the conner flag... i cannot reach the ball so i tackle him, then I got yellow card )
fast-pace like EPL

BAD-
running animations feel so weird
laggy during cut-scene and replay
no EPL real team

p/s: the day/night and stadium affect the exp/performance of the gameplay....
i played the evening match and found the graphic and frame rate more better than night(too much lighting).....

i need this game..seriously...
