So far all skyactiv mazda cars in malaysia are using shell 5w-30 semi syn, with some cars already over the 3 year mark and so far none have reported any major engine problem yet. Should be a ok i think.I wasn't that confident also, and was ready to top up rm100 to full syn on my first service. Then I was told I have to use shell and the only full syn they have available in malaysia is the helix ultra 5w-40, this oil is thicker than the 5w-30 so the engine will not be as smooth, in the end i just went with the free oil. |
