Hello everyone. I plan on getting a Mazda 3 2015 (CKD) to accommodate my family. A few questions though:-
(a) how's the fuel consumption of the CKD unit, as it does not come with the i-Eloop system? (b) how far can the car go on a full tank of petrol? © what is the GPS software pre-installed in the MZD system, and is it accurate? (d) how does one update the GPS map, and is it possible to install other GPS software? (e) how much is the service cost for a routine service every 10,000KM, and how much is the service cost for major service?
Further, can anyone direct me to good offers for the Mazda 3 2.0 High Spec Sedan? I live in Shah Alam, and the Glenmarie showroom currently has no offers for the High Spec Sedan.
The choices before me is between Mazda 3 v Honda Civic v Renault Fluence. Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

QUOTE(guilt79 @ May 20 2015, 02:00 PM) a. I got average 9.1L/100km if highway can get lowest is 6.1L/100km but why you think I-Eloop can help you save fuel? b. I pump RON95 can go 410-430km, RON95 can go 420-450km, V-POWER go 420-480km c. No GPS software is accurate in this world for Malaysia. But this one not so user friendly. So use Waze better d. You can install software from Mazda website, take out the SD card and update. Cannot install others unless "another way" e. Dependslah bro. No one reaches 60,000km yet. But expect normal service should be RM400-RM600 and no difference from Honda or Toyota.. Thanks for the feedback The i-Eloop, according to its description, was supposed to reduce the load on the engine's electrical components, thus helping to reduce fuel consumption. Was wondering what is the impact with the exclusion of i-eloop on the CKD units. Quite surprised at the fuel consumption, since the SA who entertained me at Glenmarie claimed it can easily go up to 600KM. Hmm.

QUOTE(ry8128 @ Jun 6 2015, 03:17 AM) how's the service cost? anyone has went for service? interval is 10k right? 3 years / 60000KM free service covering parts and labour. Mazda claims the regular service after t should cost the same as most Japanese brands (at least thats what my SA say).

QUOTE(stonefish @ Jun 6 2015, 11:24 AM) yeah saw that too. The oil and oil filter provided by Bermaz for free service is not suitable for skyactiv engine. http://www.mazda.com.my/about-mazda/about-...yactiv-eng.aspxBermaz issued a statement mid last year to clarify on the oil filter.

QUOTE(Miux @ Jun 11 2015, 11:08 AM) I heard that the soul red paint is actually costlier than others, so it might be the reason why it's not offered for the CKD Mazda 3 and perhaps reserve it for the higher end models like the new Mazda 6 instead. But it's just my guess. It's a future sales boosting tactic I think. In a few years time, the Mazda3 will receive a facelift / 'special edition' - and I'm sure like most manufacturers, Mazda will be churning these variants with attractive offerings such as increased colour pallettes (additional black / red to choose from).

QUOTE(KennyKB @ Jun 13 2015, 08:37 AM) They could have boosted their sales right now with the soul red colour. I think many buyers will be willing to pay more for it. A missed opportunity by Bermaz. Its part of the automotive industry. Refresher @ facelift models always get more kit and options compared to the initial release to entice new buyer's to buy a car that has already been in the market for more than 3 years (and competing with newer models introduced by the competition). Example: The original Mercedes E250 W212 didn't come with DRL headlights and had very limited interior colour options, sales lagged behind other German marque. A facelift released late 2013 sees a revamped interior, new set of headlights which incorporates DRL and more exterior / interior colour options sees sales number jumped. Automakers have been rehashing the same strategy for every vehicle life cycle.

At least we don't have to pay more for white. Toyota charges an extra RM850 for a white Corolla Altis.

QUOTE(anttan @ Jun 13 2015, 12:18 AM) will the problem occur? the bumper sound The sound does not come from the bumper. It's from the suspension when moving over speedbumps, usually on a wet day. And not every car is affected it seems. Some owners, be it local or international markets, report that they don't have any noise complaint. Your car having the issue?
