About to pull the trigger and book the low spec sedan soon. Went to test drive but only tested the high spec sedan.

Aside from the differences in wheel/rim size, the low spec sedan has identical suspension/shocks as the high spec right?

Paiseh, photo quality not so good.... maybe see more photo at Paultan website... anyway :-

I used to manual car where everytime you press the gas, the car will respond immediately....

I'm not sure if all auto also like that or just Mazda 3, after you step on the gas, it takes maybe half a second to response (down shift maybe?)......
*
What is your manual car? New cars all drive by wire...it'll always have a slight lag compared compared to old cars that drive by cable.

not sure whether buy the low spec or high spec
*
If money not an issue of course high spec lor.

If abit tight, then you have to consider whether it's worth the extra RM16k for:

Leather seats
LED lights
Big Rims? (some like it, some don't)
Lane assist? (although i don't trust it enough for it to be useful, still rely on my own eyes)

The rest of the extra stuff are features you'll hardly use in a day to day drive.

My car has none of these dashboard sound you guys mentioned. Maybe I'm less sensitive or you guys overly sensitive tongue.gif . Sometimes it's better to just leave it as it is if it's minor, because the SC will really have to cabut everything on the dashboard....that might create even more problems later.

As for sound from the back, this is common for multi-link suspension setups. If the sound only happens sometimes when you hit something at certain angle then it's perfectly normal. My previous multilink car has this trait also. But if it's happening all the time then you need to get it looked at.

Any care to review the stock tyres for the M3? It's fitted on Toyo Protex T1 sport right? Looks like not a bad set of tyres and a lot complain abt tyre noise. Other brands quieter ?
*
This is the top range passanger tyre from Toyo. Max grip dry or wet. Such tyre will always be loud because it has stiff sidewalls.

You can change to a softer tyre but I would advise against it because soft tyres on 45 profile is bad news. You hit a pothole it goes straight to your rims.

Sry noob question. Do we need to change the rims to fit 225 tyres?
*
A 225 tyre on a 7JJ rim is going to bulge out quite abit and it's going to look ugly. 225 will fit the best on a 8JJ rim.

Mind share what is the comsumption show while cruising at 120km/h? or 110km/h
*
I can get 5.5l/100km cruising at 110kph.

Mixed city/hw 50/50 is around 7.5l/100km.

This car very good fc. Mine is only around 2000km, once break in more should improve abit.

A 10k service interval with a semi syn? Thats doesnt sound right to me. sad.gif
*
So far all skyactiv mazda cars in malaysia are using shell 5w-30 semi syn, with some cars already over the 3 year mark and so far none have reported any major engine problem yet. Should be a ok i think.

I wasn't that confident also, and was ready to top up rm100 to full syn on my first service. Then I was told I have to use shell and the only full syn they have available in malaysia is the helix ultra 5w-40, this oil is thicker than the 5w-30 so the engine will not be as smooth, in the end i just went with the free oil.

They were giving 5w-40 for the free service, I changed it to 5w-30
*
Where did you service your car bro?

Bermaz HQ gives Shell HX7-E 5w-30 for free service.

If you want full syn, top up rm110 for Shell Helix Ultra 5w-40.

The technician however recommends to stick with 5w-30 as its most suitable for skyactiv engines, 5w-40 while permitted is abit on the thick side. I'm suprised your SC uses 5w-40 oil as standard.

Can you provide more information on the auto lock can be done in SC. I believe many members will like to do it and don't mind to spend rm150 for it.
*
Bermaz Glenmarie(HQ).

When I bought my car my SA ask me want to do autolock and auto side-mirror fold/unfold or not. Was quoted rm300 for it so i'm going to assume it's rm150 each. These 2 functions they can set with a software flash.
