Booked meteor grey for my relative since early last month. Called SA today and told me the latest batch of meteor grey got paint defect so all have to redo. Don't know if this is an excuse or not but looks like they are expecting me to wait for total of 3 months. Might as well change order to CX3 since its supposed to arrive next month.

Based on other comments here, I went for test drive in the Volkswagen Jetta. Surprisingly the engine is blazing fast! Handling is very good too as I could do high speed turns with tyre squeals and still in control. Only problem is the interior looks a bit cheap especially the centre console. That and also almost at the end of the test drive, the gearbox suddenly jerked loudly with the whole car shaking. That kind of reminded me of the horrible DSG episode. Sigh...there is no perfect car.

In term of driving experience, Jetta is way better smile.gif, very responsive but overall M3 is still the best among Japanese C segment.

My suggestion is M3 can be everyday car, Jetta is more suitable for second car.

It sounds right to me. Semi-synthetic can certainly do 10K interval. I've been doing that for my present car for 10 years and nothing happened to the engine.
*
Cause last time my Myvi (or just my vi, biggrin.gif ), SC using semi syn and only for 5k. (ya, I think they just wan to make more money). After warranty, 3rd parth SC use a penzoil semi sync and suggest it last for 7.5k. So, it makes me wonder which number is correct.

I have been informed that the M3 (ckd) use water based battery.... I was like, What the
!?... Since we been told that this battery cost a fortune, still you need to add water every 2 months...

Mine shows more options than that, including the walk-away lock, or whatever you call it.

Are you driving a high spec or low spec?

Got my M3 high spec aluminium silver today, booked on mid May.
The wind and tyre noise above 100km/h is quite significant, no weird sound (yet) when going through the bump. Sound system is a little bit of let down. Surprisingly i-stop is too responsive, activated a few times when queuing for toll, the longest it last was more than 2 minutes at traffic light, the light turned green after that so I am not sure how long it can actually lasts. Quite satisfied with how i-stop functions. Other than that everything so far so good. Thumbs up for Mazda!

Yes, if you have the money to have a spare car. It's a shame we can't get good driveability and reasonable maintenance in one car.

been driving for 6weeks from now ckd low spec.. definitely not going to regret!

Very satisfied with it! But I don't really know how to compare it with as I don't own a CBU unit for extended period except for the time I test drive that unit.

CKD low spec is in fact a fun to drive car and the cheapest 2.0cc in the C Segment.

As for the fuel consumption, I think is about the same for all c segments cars for city driving... However when it comes to highway it certainly on par with the corolla Altis
*
Good to know that even the low spec are good enough. Is the headlamp and interioir differ much from the high spec? I have never manage to see the low spec in showroom before. It's always the high spec that they are showing..
