From a marketing POV, IF they are new products and they were to launch it, it would not be cheaper than the current sets. But if you like the 24-70 and think the money is worth it, then by all means go ahead.

Hi,
I just wanna ask if Canon 28-70mm f2.8 is still possible to repair. Its zoom stuck at 50mm and cant go to any further.
If anyone of u been experiencing same problem, pls tell me the cost for repair it.

You could try emailing some 3rd party camera repair shops or canon service centre themselves. If nothing is broken, it should not cost crazily high. Made a shade for my 40/2.8 out of cardboard. The design of the original hood (here a 3rd party version) is quite useless on crop sensor. There is no mechanical vignetting caused by the cardboard.

I am stopping by KL tomorrow and intend to buy a Canon 10-18 STM.
Anyone know any good deals or street price for it and where is the location of the shop. I do not mind grey unit, as cheap as can be. I would also like to trade in a 18-55.
