last time i asked, they cleared their stock of A3xx parts.

you will need to order with them, around rm180 (last time i brought rm180) for it, it will take 1/2 month time for the shipment to reach, provided Japan has stocks. then replace them yourself, (very easy, about 6-8 screws only)

them as in sony service center? my body is with them but they said they have no stock for that. any other alternative? i saw some on ebay but i need a quick fix, got a trip coming soon in early jan. i also got a RM350 quotation shocking.gif

For a nubi like me, what to look for filter size? How to choose?
What to buy first? A UV filter? Or others?

Will be using the filter on kit lens for Sony A6000 15-50mm. Dont know the size actually.

*** Camera will be purchase at the year ends.

u need to ask yrself why u need to use filter in first place.
for protection or etc... diff filter got diff purpose..

the size-wise u can check on yr lens.. normally there's indicator on what size of filter that u should attached.

i would advise u check with the shop when u grab yr camera later... then can ask for testing on various type of filter...

after all u pay for yr camera.. so ask for more lah... hehehe

sorry when i type 1/2 means 1 or 2 months, not half (i read back also feel funny).

they quote 350? from sony? means the lcd price up to 200... coz its 200(parts) + 150(labour charges, standard for all repairs).... or u mean ebay? if ebay means overpriced already.

unless my hand itchy sell u my A300 LCD then i use my A300 like film camera, no lcd to review..., only can shoot via OVF, and only can see the pic when reach home... wow, thats challenging sweat.gif

give u straight forward answer then give too much explaination.

kitlens, the design, is not easy to scratch it. so no worries. if buy too cheap filter (or china imitations) u will make image even more blur... so it gets worst then helping. a good filter easily cost rm100+ for 49mm filter (or smaller).... and easily up to 3xx for 77mm.

u can check the information easily online, find the lens name, google it, find the details information and look for 'filter diameter'.

awiekupo: i will never never never ever recommend fresh buyer to check with the sales person about filters, a lot of them trying to earn commission usually end up selling u cheap stuff at overprice~ before anything, try do more homework. ieR did a filter write up many years ago, it wasnt pinned, but hope still somewhere burried in the camera threads.

I'm using Nex 5N with 18-50mm lens .. Seriously speaking, bought the camera back in end 2011 and only used for 3 times since I found it slightly a bit bulky.

I plan to change the lens to normal 16mm lens that comes with when I bought the camera, may I know if I were to just use it when I travel to snap picture .. is 16mm more than enough?

16mm is a great lens to snap around whilst travelling. anyway it depends on how you want to show your picture

For those aldy went to previous sale, which lens is easy to get 50% ? With weird focal length ? Or non-glamour lens ?
Can lens like "Sony 70-300mm F/4.5-5.6 G SSM" get a chance to buy at 50% ?
Haiyaaa why la SONY dun write final price , easy to plan what to buy... no need to write up to 50%...

use common sense. as wrote with "up to 50% discount", means only certain lenses only. most probably low demanded lenses will get higher discount
btw, market strategy, and who knows their management's decision
