QUOTE(stringfellow @ Jun 29 2007, 12:58 AM) Great movie this is! I dare say, better than Spider-Man 3! Shia LeBeouf is the perfect leading actor, and Megan Fox is well......foxy hot! I still dont like Optimus talking through his mouth, but after hearing the same voice-over from the same person voicing Prime from Generation 1, i accepted it. Although, Prime did slid his mouthpiece over his mouth when he caught Sam after he fell off the building with the AllSpark. Nostalgic! Seems that Optimus has that mouthpiece for battle mode, revert back to lips for robot mode...QUOTE(julchin_09 @ Jun 29 2007, 03:09 AM) Unicron was penned for this one but they couldn't fit him although I gotta say their plan of James Earl Jones for Unicron is defo going to rock. They can transform to anything to adapt to the enviroment.
Just an example, During the Beastwar series, they landed on prehistoric world. Hence, they just copy the dinosaurs or watever animals on that planet. |

Really didn't espect it to be so farny. The more I think of it the better it gets... the transformations, Megan Fox, Rachel something or other... thankfully I am not a G1 "must adhere to the ori" freak This reintepretation is very nice. Peter Cullen's voice as OP really worked... so grand and fatherly. All the Autobots had sense of humour...... like iron hide "I think I'm going to rust"
Sequel 2 and 3 is confirmed but Michael Bay has not signed up yet. I guess he is waiting for the viewers and industry reaction to this movie first.... if its good... and it is, then he can ask for more $$$. Shia, Megan and Peter oledi sign up. |

Since Hugo Weaving is voiced as Megatron, I thought of a funny situation when Prime is incarcerated and Megatron interogates him ala Matrix style.
"It seems that you've been living two lives. One life, you're a cab over semi truck, living an honest life delivering Transformer toys in crates to eager young children. The other life is lived in fighting, where you are a robot by the moniker 'Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots', and are guilty of virtually every public property damage inccured by your fighting with your ragtag group of transformers. One of these lives has a future, and one of them does not. " |

Joining in with the huge compliments, I went to watch it at GSC Times Square lastnight, and was pondering if should get MC for today. After the movie, mind was made up easily, MC for sure. Great movie, superb, very well done, loved it from start to finish, it was excellent every second of it. Watching twice probably won't be enough to satisfy people, and I definitely plan to go watch again. The transformations being complex was great, because IMO if it was like the cartoons, it would be too plain for a movie. So it was well designed and suited the movie. My only gripe..

LOL Odinn, i sense you wanted to go back the days of G1 where Starscream and Megatron were scuffling for leadership of the Decepticon, the political and backstabbing would make an excellent backstory to the main story arc!
Gonna go watch this again today, and then sambung with Live Free or Die Hard (i refuse to call it Die Hard 4.0, sounds lame). Will report in if i see anything new (cameos, or other little observations). One thing i didnt mention earlier wa the crowd yesterday cheered and clapped when Prime arrived, and when the movie ended, they clapped again. A few of them went in with Autobots and Decepticon shirts. Diehard fans indeed. This post has been edited by stringfellow: Jun 29 2007, 04:25 PM |
