Great movie this is! I dare say, better than Spider-Man 3! Shia LeBeouf is the perfect leading actor, and Megan Fox is well......foxy hot! I still dont like Optimus talking through his mouth, but after hearing the same voice-over from the same person voicing Prime from Generation 1, i accepted it. Although, Prime did slid his mouthpiece over his mouth when he caught Sam after he fell off the building with the AllSpark. Nostalgic!

Did anyone notice the transforming Xbox 360 when Sam accidentally activated the AllSpark while escaping from Megatron? The guy who was holding the box got the fright of his life when his Xbox 360 sprouted arms and legs and ran away screaming! laugh.gif

And that Bumblebee stunt inside the tunnel, when Mikaela complained why he even bother transforming into a beaten-up dirty Camaro, and voila! Two-wheeling and shiny-as-hell, even Sam was shocked! laugh.gif

It's great to see that censorship let the "show him the finger" scene from Bobby Bolivia's mom left uncut. You see a stained censored spot though, but at least the gist of the joke remained intact.

At least i get what Michael Bay i trying to get at explaining the origin of these transforming robots, they originated from an exoskeleton, and mimic the very first machinery they see as their outer shell. Im glad Prime mimics the truck, dont ever mess with my Prime!

The transforming Nokia N93i is cool and hilarious at the same time! laugh.gif

Watching again tomorrow. thumbup.gif

LOL Odinn, i sense you wanted to go back the days of G1 where Starscream and Megatron were scuffling for leadership of the Decepticon, the political and backstabbing would make an excellent backstory to the main story arc!

Gonna go watch this again today, and then sambung with Live Free or Die Hard (i refuse to call it Die Hard 4.0, sounds lame). Will report in if i see anything new (cameos, or other little observations). One thing i didnt mention earlier wa the crowd yesterday cheered and clapped when Prime arrived, and when the movie ended, they clapped again. A few of them went in with Autobots and Decepticon shirts. Diehard fans indeed. tongue.gif

The robot polic car is Barricade, he is nowhere to be found if i recall correctly. Devastator(IIANM) is the one Bumblebee shot down while being towed by Mikaela, correct me if im wrong.

Starscream was seen "screaming" into the stratosphere during the credit roll.

Good ingredients for a sequel, i guess. Starscream lead the remnant of the Decepticons, while Megatron get resurrected as Galvatron from the Laurentia deep sea trench. Roll in the sequel!

Michael Bay's style of directing i seen pretty prominently in a couple of scenes, particularly the prt where the Soccent base soldiers were battling Scorponok and the part where the signal analyst and the hacker, along with the SecDef (Secretary of Defense) and that pain-in-the-ass Sector 7 chief were fending ff Frenzy in the old communication room inside the Hoover Dam. Spinning cameras make me dizzy! laugh.gif

I don't think you guys should hide the spoilers as the thread topic had already stated *HUGE SPOILERS* and came here for the spoilers. For me hearing what people says and seeing the real thing is quite diff.

Any way to those already watched the movie I would like to know about starscream. Is he that horrible compared with the promo pic? Does he has the same voice? What bout bumblebee? Common spill the juice guys.

A couple of screenshots, along with the desktop wallpaper i have, does show his humanoid look kind off ape-like. But in the movie, you hardly see him in his transformed form, he is either semi-transformed while he was battling the USAF F-22 Raptors or fully in his fighter jet form, so its not a big deal anyway. The only shot i can remember him in full humanoid form, was during the part where Megatron cornered Sam with the AllSpark, and the camera pulled back to reveal MEgatron bursting through the room, and StarScream standing on the top of another bulding overlooking both of them. A far off shot, and you can hardly see him properly. Overall, i'd say it is a mior annoyance.

Big lettering on the Transformers newspaper ad in the Star stating the movie had gone into 30 days of screening already. Sneaked in early in TGV before my Simpsons show 2 days ago, into a 9pm Transformers show in Cinema 3 (huge hall) and the hall is still packed after 30 days!!? Wow!

Paramount and DreamWorks Animation Each Declare Exclusive Support for HD DVD

Movies Distributed by Paramount Home Entertainment Including Paramount
Pictures, DreamWorks Animation SKG, DreamWorks Pictures, Paramount Vantage,
Nickelodeon Movies and MTV Films to be Released Exclusively in HD DVD
Exclusive Program To Begin with Release of "Blades of Glory," Followed by
"Transformers" and "Shrek the Third," Films Representing More Than $1.5
Billion in Combined Worldwide Box Office

    LOS ANGELES, Aug. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Paramount Pictures, a
unit of Viacom Inc. (NYSE: VIA and VIA.B) and DreamWorks Animation SKG
(NYSE: DWA), each announced today that they will exclusively support the
next-generation HD DVD format on a worldwide basis. The exclusive HD DVD
commitment will include all movies distributed by Paramount Pictures,
DreamWorks Pictures, Paramount Vantage, Nickelodeon Movies and MTV Films,
as well as movies from DreamWorks Animation, which are distributed
exclusively by Paramount Home Entertainment.
The companies each said that the decision to distribute exclusively in
the HD DVD format resulted from an extensive evaluation of current market
offerings, which confirmed the clear benefits of HD DVD, particularly its
market-ready technology and lower manufacturing costs. Paramount Home
Entertainment will launch its exclusive HD DVD program with the release of
the blockbuster comedy hit "Blades of Glory" on August 28th and follow with
two of the biggest grossing movies of the year "Transformers" and "Shrek
the Third". These three titles alone represent more than $1.5 billion in
box office ticket sales worldwide.
"The combination of Paramount and DreamWorks Animation brings a
critical mass of current box office hits to consumers with a line-up of
live action and animated films that are perfect for HD DVD," stated Brad
Grey, Chairman and CEO of Paramount Pictures, which is currently the
leading studio in domestic box office. "Part of our vision is to
aggressively extend our movies beyond the theater, and deliver the quality
and features that appeal to our audience. I believe HD DVD is not only the
affordable high quality choice for consumers, but also the smart choice for
Paramount."
"We decided to release "Shrek the Third" and other DreamWorks Animation
titles exclusively on HD DVD because we believe it is the best format to
bring high quality home entertainment to a key segment of our audience --
families," stated DreamWorks Animation CEO, Jeffrey Katzenberg. "We believe
the combination of this year's low-priced HD DVD players and the commitment
to release a significant number of hit titles in the fall makes HD DVD the
best way to view movies at home."
With the rapid increase of HD TV screens in households, and audiences
wanting to enjoy the total entertainment experience, HD DVD has emerged as
the most affordable way for consumers to watch their movies in high
definition. In addition to pristine quality, HD DVD also offers consumers
the chance to personalize the movie-watching experience, to interact with
their movies and even to connect with a community of other fans.
Paramount Home Entertainment will issue new releases day and date as
well as catalog titles exclusively on HD DVD. Today's announcement does not
include films directed by Steven Spielberg as his films are not exclusive
to either format.
