I managed to install Xposed and several modules, and GravityBox is working fine.

Dimensions Editor module works great to reduce the size of UI elements, giving you back more usable screen real estate.

tulikori There is an option in GravityBox to allow lockscreen to change orientation. No FCs so far.

Not having any custom recovery is quite a bummer, but on Huafans here is a link.

Perhaps those with better Chinese than mine can take a stab at this?

http://www.fp.huafans.cn/thread-852551-1-1.html

It seems to be some 1-click CWM installer, but there are some limitations.

I don't think you can.

It will probably allow you to make a nandroid backup, that's all.

Even the Chinese forums don't have any real custom roms yet.

Everyone needs the kernel and rom sources. I believe the Russians will step in when that happens.

Can you add multiple google account on this device.Other forum mentioned you can't add more than one account.

How does Huawei with their custom rom community? Support or never release their kernel and rom sourse?

The 501L should have no problem with multiple accounts. Only the 503L needs a workaround.

Huawei does release their sources but it could be slow.

Depend on what you wish to use it for. There is never any best phone/tablet ; only diehard fans will claim theirs is the best
I would say the Tab is more suitable as a tablet than as a phone. The X1 fits both phone n tablets needs nicely due to its reduced slim bezel making it more pocketable.
Basing on specs the Tab has an edge. I have no experience using or even touching it yet.
The Tab costs about rm500 extra vs the X1
Only you can decide which meet your needs better
And is true Samsung updates are often faster n more frequent.

Me too still deciding which to get MediaPad X1 love it because of its size Tab S also because of its size can't resist the gorgeous AMOLED screen.

Price difference around rm300 as far as i know. Lelong - TAB S rm1599++ MediaPad X1 rm1170++-rm1299++.

About the performance definitely Samsung Octacore win although not Snapdragon CPU than Hisilicon for Huawei

Both capable to make call.

If you like amoled display, go for tab s.. But for some of us here, we may prefer IPS..

For me I rather quit seeking for antutu or whatever benchmark tool statistics to justify which processor is more powerful.. At the end of the day, as long as smooth performance, it's good enough.. Heck, what type of processor is kind of my secondary requirement for me now..

But then, yes, I wish this phablet can be smoother.. It's a bit stuttering sometime... But, overall, this device is almost perfectly built.

I think, the justified here is, whether you want to use this as a phone or not. If you're looking for a tablet only, then Tab S is a better option for u

You need to connect it to the PC for it to get into Recovery mode.

Once in Recovery, you can then wipe data and cache.

At worst, download the Western Europe B003 ROM (link in post 4) and reflash.

thanks..
But wipe data and cache does not work.
I'm selecting reset to factory setting.

Any possibilities to recover previous data in internal storage?

What did you install before this happened?

The worst case is that you will have to flash the B003 rom.
