Depend on what you wish to use it for. There is never any best phone/tablet ; only diehard fans will claim theirs is the best
I would say the Tab is more suitable as a tablet than as a phone. The X1 fits both phone n tablets needs nicely due to its reduced slim bezel making it more pocketable.
Basing on specs the Tab has an edge. I have no experience using or even touching it yet.
The Tab costs about rm500 extra vs the X1
Only you can decide which meet your needs better
And is true Samsung updates are often faster n more frequent.

Me too still deciding which to get MediaPad X1 love it because of its size Tab S also because of its size can't resist the gorgeous AMOLED screen.

Price difference around rm300 as far as i know. Lelong - TAB S rm1599++ MediaPad X1 rm1170++-rm1299++.

About the performance definitely Samsung Octacore win although not Snapdragon CPU than Hisilicon for Huawei

Both capable to make call.

bvannier : further to noobi3 posts above : here are pics to show

Fastboot mode ( vol up + power button)

[attachmentid=4145254]

Flashing in PC using fastboot

[attachmentid=4145257]

Recovery mode ( vol down + power button)

[attachmentid=4145259]

If you had problems booting using those buttons use the app QUICKBOOT ( need root) and choose bootloader for fastboot mode and Recovery for recovery mode

And please don't say you are old !! I am old too, touching 60 years soon !

China 503l doesn't seem to support local LTE bands ( 1800, 2600 mhz) n easily check their specs on the web
Some users here are using it n perhaps they can clarify
You can only flash 503L rom or 503L custom rom n not 501L rom simply the LTE hardware is different between them
Is already soo cheap here n why even bother to buy China version?
And he need install CWM to flash set of google app which is absent in China set

Thanks, my friend is just a secondary school student not much budget. $100-200 for him is quiet large sum.

I have both malaysia 7d-501L and China 7d-503L set with me. Both work fine here. The china set, 7d-503L lte work here, I have tried with Digi LTE, Umobile LTE and Maxis LTE. All work with no issue. So no worry buying China set, except warranty and need to manually install google services.

I have also change my local set 7d-501L firmware to 7d-503L firmware and it work fine. I have been using it for 2 months.

Uncle benny regarding to this thread what is your opinion? can Flash Malaysian to Chinese and vice versa .

China version can also supported in Malaysia.

Thanks

No problem using 64gb card...why would you think it cannot. Intact practically all the newer phones these days can support up to 64gb
*
Regarding to the specs. it says 32GB.

I first I try incompatible microSD then I insert to Galaxy Note GT-N7000 and copy files to it then unmount and reinsert in MediaPad X1 then it is acceptable

Thanks

WiFi activity always shows on in battery status though I had already turn off?

Antutu benchmark KitKat - 26185 Jellybean - 27214 what's wrong any ideal why?

If I flash CWM recovery could I update via OTA again?

Thanks?

CWM does not have the code to trigger OTA update. You need to reflash stock recovery for any official ROM updates.

One method I can think of, but haven't tried, is to extract the update.app and repack as a CWM image. I suspect this can be done using the HuaweiUpdateExtractor and a CWM packager.

Thanks for your info but did you know why the SIM Toolkit app not work SIM Toolkit not available??

And why the WiFi always on though I had already turned it off.

Thanks.

Use app flashify to backup stock recovery n restore it when necessary
Or flash the stock recovery image using fastboot command

B102 which is best firmware to date. Why would you want to downgrade back to a poorer firmware ??
Try search for it at XDA thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-mediapad/general

Uncle you mean B012? I feel B002 it is better than latest one B012 WiFi always problem.
