Format using a computer.. I've corrupted my SD card on the day I got my X1..what I did was, I reformat the SD card inside the x1.. Hence I will not recommend you to do it that way. I bought a new card and reformat it in my macbook first before I plug into my x1,now working flawlessly

If u r using Mac , it's easy to convert using the built in converter . If u r using windows , use the fat32 converter from here

format /fs:fat32 <drive letter>:

add /q if you want quick format. No need to install 3rd party apps. But personally never tried anything beyond 32gb with this..

Did that a few times , ended up send the memory card back for replacement .
