Hi all, I noticed the MIUI wallpaper under the wallpaper settings is empty (not browse-able) unlike the theme settings. Is this normal? Thanks!

no problem on my phone, very smooth
I use another camera apps called "A Better Camera", in the apps I set DRO to on and to focus i manually tap to subject instead of let the software do it. So far it produce picture compare to stock camera

Thanks will give it a shot.

Yeah, should be software. After searching around for a while I see many people having similar issues. sad.gif

QUOTE(azeemzuhair @ Jul 13 2014, 12:36 PM)
(1) wipe the lense before taking pix.
(2) mount it on tripod to take pix.

If u do those two steps above, and yet the results is the same blurry images, it's hardware issue... If not blurred, ensure to have steady hands when taking shots without tripod.
*
My lens is very clean. And even my nexus 5 got smudges on it still the photo is sharp.

How stable a hand should/could be? I can take perfectly clear pictures using other phones/camera but not with the mi3.

I suspect its software issue, because there are so many threads on miui website with people having the same problem. Unless its a hardware problem for everyone else.

QUOTE(suntzulee @ Jul 13 2014, 12:41 PM)
+1 agreed...stable hand is fundamental to clear shot. I csn concur that...

Just curious, is it possible to use another non-MIUI ROM for this or the Redmi 1S? I'm not entirely sure I want to be using the buggy MIUI if they haven't fixed the basic problems like calls, camera-quality (software optimization issue), internet issues and messages. I'm somewhat concerned after reading their official forum with longtime users lamenting about very basic issues that apparently have not been fixed at all.

Any tips for me to rush this tuesday?

Do they (xiaomi) have something like address book so I can fill up my address beforehand (save time)?

not until they release source codes for Mi3

just see how much better XDA can do for Mi2 compared to official Xiaomi Mi3

Sure, Don't let others and the hype of the crazy sales to influence your decision. You should analyze it by yourself befoe going to purchase one.

As for me, I grabbed it simply because my previous phone is smaller screen, heavier, and the processor is lower. wink.gif

do your survey and research thoroughly for this phone. google is your good helper...you buy something where it is worth the price you pay for and the features it has that capture your attention.

Nevertheless, if you find this phone is not your cup of tea, then leave it... tongue.gif

The other thing got similar value to Mi3 is probably One Plus One.

It run Cyanogenmod which should be a lot more stable than MIUI.

Honestly, the Mi3 software is not that refined. But hey, it is just RM800. A RM800 Samsung is laggy and probably can't run heavy task well biggrin.gif

Yes. It's actually using WiFi, A-GPS and GPS.

If not mistaken, it's said telco charge 10c when user did not have days plan. (Correct me if I'm wrong)
