im actually searching for 'windows mp' by sysmaster that based on 46R firmware. the mp was somewhat controversial thats why its no more available in momo. so i hope if any 1 of you lucky guys happened to have downloaded it before its removed kindly share it. rite now im using the 48R version. i just wanna test if its true that 46R really save battery. if the mp is not available then i just use starter xp...

just reflash from 48r to 46r lo...

hello e398 users.. i just bought this phone about a week ago and im wondering how long should i charge this phone? it took 4 hours to fully charge it.. is this normal?

It is definitely normal for E398.This happens due to the low voltage of E398's charger as well as its inconsistence in supplying electricity to the phone.

P.S. I'm not very good in mentioning electronic terms though

it takes 4-5 hours to charge to full, but if can, don't let your phone down to low battery, if possible just charge your phone in anytime.

wrong...actually,you should charge ur fon when the thing reads red or low batt....BUT don't leave the phone till the battery is gone completely(turn off itself)....and first charge no need to charge for 8 hours or those crap....if the phone sez its full,its full...

and mine took 3-4 hours to charge completely from a low batt

i got 3 battery for my e398.. keep on listening and playing games is like 1 nite flat then change new battery, then flat then change new battery..

e398 is using Li-ion battery, you don't have to charge it for 8 hours for the first time. you can straight away use. if possible, prevent low battery warning. charge battery when it's in low bar will hurt your battery. and when it has been charged to full, it will automatic stop charging

my phone now got prob liau.. when ever i exit my apps like in Games folder.. i go back in cannot start any apps.. need to off and on my phone again.. flight mode enables u to play songs for 2 nites straight for my phone.. play games 3 days every day play 5 hours in flight mode oso....

hey guys wanna ask whether ur e398 got any prob ah.. my e398 dunno y very weak in catching signals, like sometiems ppl calling, it doesn't receive it and always later maxis send a mesg said got miss call...

it wasn't like this at first, first year i bought was fine then near the end of first year this prob surface, i got it fixed at sc b4 warranty runs out (they change a dunno wat chip inside). And now after 7-8 months, it comes back again. I'm a very careful user leh, so pamper the fone, nvr let it drop b4...

i heard many ppl say moto fon not tat lasting, wat u guys think? Coz the new moto rokr e2 is out! i kinda hooked up by this fon and plan to chagne to tat...

but nobody encourage you to charge your phone like that everyday. i like your thinking to go against what people recommended

Help Me, My E398 stuck
Stuck at motorola boot screen.

I downloaded FF7AC Skin by ZrA,
in the readme it says that i need to copy mma_ucp file included
to make the skin work at a/mobile/system, also it says to make
a backup, so i did make a backup of my mma_ucp and then upload
the included mma_ucp to my phone.

But after restarting the phone
it hanged at the motorola boot screen and there is no way for
me to restore the original mma_ucp that i backed up because
i cant use any software including p2k because it wont detect
the phone even though i can see in the device manager that
the phone is connected and detect as a modem.

What is the solution to this? it still can run in bootloader mode
and also if not turn on, i can charge the phone and see the
icon and word that the phone is charging.

how to restore my mma_ucp? because this is clearly why i cant
start my phone. Now how to upload the mma_ucp back?
if i flash the firmware then reflash back to the original
firmware 99R can fix the problem?

please kindly help me. thx in advanced.

try to use p2kcommander...

and .. it is not better to use R373 firmware to play skin. coz i think most of this skin creator use R373 firmware to create and test.

and this mma_ucp file is one of the important also.

if u got any full backup of ur phone ... better restore

You mean R372?

Most skins are designed for R373, especially the ones with different DRM(icon arrangements). A reflash ought to solve your problem, if you cannot connect even with P2kTools.

hw much is a decent housing cost?

And oh, Jason, i found the housing for this phone selling at Rm 20 something,
higher quality (maybe higher quality) for Rm 40 something. Saw at puchong.

All color also hev lor, not Ioi, ioi what have there? go to Puchong Perdana, and go to OTK area (also famous for its ABC mamak) go to the biggest phone store there, its really big, like 2 or 3 shop lot alltogether, i once ask a small shop and they ask me Rm 80 to change the cover lor, went to that BIG shop and its available even on display area lar, many choice lor, all kind of rare flip housing also can find there Kindda cheap, compare to other place that want Rm80... there can get like 20 something

does motorola gives out any specification how much memory it can support? some say only up to 256, but there are some working with 512.
