Hi there, is there any instruction available to set up a router for TIME? Got fed up with the cisco router and got myself an Asus n12hp router.

Latest finding:

VPN:
Try to connect to company VPN, connected to several geo location VPN... It is working, I think the 1st day upon account activation not stable and thus will have some glitch on 1st day???

Tried >10 China Stream TV apps (android TV box):
80% of the china site watchable with finest setting using default time DNS. But some cannot watch such as PPTV. Will try out google DNS later and hope to get 100% coverage. Online streaming is much better than Streamyx

Using own AC router (via wireless):
Default router can get to 40-43Mbps when boost (As some benchmark review stated that this router can go max on 48mbps). Using my AC router push this limit up to 50mbps ( My router support up to >200 mbps based on some review benchmark).

Yeapch01, can you send me setup manual too? I want to refer IPV6 setting and to check out any setting that I might miss out?

In summary, 8Mb time line can get us at least 2 HD streaming and 15Mb can get us at least 4 HD streaming...

I think based on usage... if you have 3 ppl streaming on HD movie, go for 15Mbps if you have 2 below to stream for HD, go to 8mbps...

If you are heavy downloader, I think 30 hours boost should be sufficient for both these package. 30 hours boost @ 6MBytes will give you a total of 648GByte in a month! ( you might need to add 1T HDD space every month for this )

Think you got me wrong when I said "unique reasons" comparing Msia and SIN.
What I was trying to say is in SIN and other countries, such as Thailand, they are not allowed to play the game called Monopoly. 

Upload, depends if you need 8 or 15mbps upload

Don't forget time will be apply +-20% speed on its line, means you might get around 6.4mbps or 12mbps...

I'm just waiting for the Astro IPTV contract to be over so I can get rid of the piece of crap service and subscribe to Netflix.

Will definitely still maintain TIME cause I think by far it's the better ISP compared to TM or Maxis.

Hi there. I been using TIME for a good few months now. It is a great ISP. However, lately, I find myself with the problematic E1200 hanging a few times a day, especially starting a heavy traffic. It is quite frusfrating. Is there any solution short of buying some other router?

I want to connect to Time broadband, but they ask 500 MYR deposit because I'm a foreigner.

My friend who is also a foreigner told me that if you give your bank card details to TIME, for autopayments, you can avoid paying this 500 MYR deposit.

Have anybody heard anything about that topic?
Does it true that you can avoid that 500 MYR deposit if you connect you bank card to Time for autopayments?

Second question, is it possible to use your own router (Asus RT-N66U)? I heard a lot of complains about stock Time routers quality.
